    Misleading Review

by paduca on 10/5/16Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

the acting and writing was amazing. I'm giving this a less than stellar review due to the newspaper article which did not describe what the play would be like accurately at all. I, personally, would not have bought tickets if I had known what the play would be nor would I have brought my grandson. there were quite a few really little kids in the audience who would probably not have been there either had there been an accurate description. the TV promo's were also very misleading.

    Do Not Leave Early!

by Buffalobabe on 10/4/16Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

I cannot recommend this show enough. It is an exceptional play that is brilliantly acted by a very talented cast. You do not need to be familiar with the book to enjoy this. It is not a show for younger children, however, I would recommend this for mature middle schoolers on up. Whatever you do, do not leave for your cars when the show ends. Stay in your seat for the best is yet to be!!

    forgettable

by mar673 on 10/4/16Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

The acting was good but I almost left at the intermission because I did not find it particularly interesting - the story was kind of blah. I did stay to the end but I guess I was not alone in my opinion since a few people in front of me did leave.

    Intense and brilliantly executed

by Redzini on 10/3/16Rochester Auditorium Theatre - Rochester

I was not familiar with the plot beforehand, so it was all new to me. I was surprised at how intense it was, in terms of the storylines covered. The protrayal of the main character, who seemed to be autistic, was refreshing and very interesting to see. The electronic effects were used superbly. The second half was more entertaining.
