The show was fantastic! Lasted 3 1/2 hours !! Every song I knew and a couple I didn't were all perrrfect! The sound was great and I could hear EVERY word! The fact that everyone wanted to dance the entire time made it even better ... they sound just as great NOW as they did years ago! Many mahalos for coming to Hawaii! Aloha !!!

  • Once in a lifetime

by Ryoma on 8/4/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

To finally be able to see The Cure live in concert was a must do event for me. They've never played in Hawaii before and who knows, this may be the only time we'll see them here. They sounded so amazing live and Robert Smith's voice, wow, throughout the entire concert and two encores stayed strong and beautiful. The band was equally amazing and tight -- I especially dug the bass player who kept it all together and could clearly be heard. The most amazing thing was the encores were more like additional sets and the entire concert lasted for well over 2 hours. It seemed at one point, some were heading home maybe because it was too long? But for those of us, the true fans, I was like "can you believe this?". It was so awesome that they played their hearts out and gave all they could to their Hawaii fans. I thought it wouldn't be as long since they're coming from a festival tour in Asia (I think they played Japan before playing here) so I was so pleasantly surprised. I hope they stop at Hawaii again but if they don't, I'll know that this concert I attended was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see The Cure in Hawaii. Much mahalos to Robert Smith and the band!

  • The Cure was unbelievable!

    by Robbie16 on 8/4/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure is the best concert I've seen in my life. They were so into the whole performance. The cool thing is they treated us to 38 songs, 2 encores and 3 hours of punk rock and new wave music. I have never seen any artist that came to Hawaii and played more than a hour and a half until The Cure and in your 50's that's impressive. Other artist were doing it for a vacation write off. Not these guys. I have so much respect for the band.

  • The Cure was awesome! Security, not so much....

by ThirstyLizard on 8/4/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic. But, I think that someone should review the arena's security force. In Hawaii, we have the most laid back concert audiences. However, security appears to be looking for a fight with audience members or a reason to throw people out of the show. There was a gentleman in the next section dancing in front of his seat and having a good time when a red shirt security officer called to him and told him to stop dancing. This really made me angry, but what can you do? I think security is overly zealous and needs to receive some training on how to be courteous. It is hard to enjoy yourself when you are constantly distracted by security. When I pay hundreds of dollars for tickets to a show, I want to enjoy the show and not have to witness all of this nonsense.

  • Amazing Cure show!

by Fairyvamp on 8/4/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

Can't say enough about this show. 3.5 hours with 2 encores! The whole band was really into what they were playing, not just going through the motions. Definitely worth the money and had a wonderful, fun night! Would see them again in a heartbeat!

  • Awesome concert!!

by Radfish on 8/4/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 4 out of 5

Three hours of nonstop Cure! Although I'm not a hardcore Cure fan I could definitely appreciate the showmanship and the quality they brought to Hawaii. No auto-tune or backup dancers just 4 guys and their insturments. No BS. A concert for purists!!! This was an awesome concert worth every penny. Thank you Cure for coming to Hawaii!!

by UltimateCureFan on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

So glad The Cure came to Hawaii. They were absolutely awesome. Loved seeing their vibes in person. These guys are one Hot, Hot, Hot group; you can tell they love what they do and so do we. LOVE The Cure. Wishing and hoping they decide to come back.

  • Robert Smith just keeps getting better

by Konamaria on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure concert was one of the best I've seen in years. The Blaisdell was a great venue for them. The sound hit the sweet spot of totally filling you so you feel it in your bones but not hurting your ears. Robert Smith poured out his soul. LOVED it.

  • by lonian on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 2 out of 5

COTQ needed a sound check, they had some good tunes but they had the singers voice so loud that it was drowning out the rest of the band. The singer had a great voice but it was turned up so loud it made it destroyed it. I think that they never played a venue like that and didnt get the right sound to their music tuned in right. I guess that comes with more experience in tuning in the sound to the venue.

  • EPIC!

by lonian on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

Simply Epic! The Cure put on a fantastic show and Robert Smith brought the house down! I think his voice sounded better live than on the recordings. I cant believe how good they sounded.

  • Awesome performance!

by tennispodpro on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

Robert Smith sang over 40 songs not stop. Came out for 3 encores and then sang another hour until midnight. The Cure puts on a real performance. 1st class.

  • Awesome concert

    by HI4Cure on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure put on an awesome show. They played all of their hits and new stuff for 3 whole hours. With little break they rocked the house and they sounded great! Not to many bands play for that long and still sound great. Wow Cure you guys are amazing.. If you love alternative rock or the Cure I highly recommend this concert.

  • The Cure was epic!

    by kc5491 on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

The Cure was awesome! Robert Smith's voice was as strong as ever. They played for 3 hours with very little breaks. It was also a visually appealing show with all the lighting, smoke, colors, and big screens on both sides of the stage. It was a very memorable event.

  • Best Concert In Hawaii since Depeche Mode and INXS

    by CRC96789 on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

I brought the whole family, introduced my kids to some great '80's music, and took me back to my youth. Had a blast and didn't want to leave, even after 38 songs.

  • best show ever

    by bevs3 on 8/3/13Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

This was a fantastic event. Worth every cent I paid for great seats. The sound and stage lighting and the screens were all perfect. Just perfect. The Cure played every song I was dying to see them play live. It was rocking for nearly 4 hours. Amazing and perfect!!! Thank you for the best night out!!!
