About

Courteeners critically acclaimed release ‘More. Again. Forever.’ became the band’s seventh album to reach the Official UK Album Chart Top 10 in February 2020. The band, who have been lifelong friends since childhood, formed over 15 years ago and have grown into one of the UK’s premiere guitar bands. In 2019 they sold out their own 50,000 capacity show at Heaton Park in Manchester and headlined a number of major festivals across the country. In September 2021 they once again headlined Manchester’s Emirates Old Trafford (having previously headlined the venue in 2017), performing to another sell out 50,000 capacity crowd (the show sold in 90 minutes), headlined TRNSMT festival and announced headline festival dates for 2022 at Neighbourhood Festival and Y Not Festival. They will be touring the US this fall.

  • What a gig

What a gig, what a band. We flew over from the UK to see the courteeners and they did not disappoint! Loved every minute, crowd engaged well, and super venue.

Hi, I was at the underwhelming Courteeners performance at Brighton Music Hall. Never in my life of attending 300+ concerts, performing with a band playing original songs, and running live sound on a budget have I ever seen a band switch guitars so many times. It was absolutely pretentious. The live vocals were too soft and muddled in the mix and you could barely distinguish either of the guitars. The keyboards were decent. Drums could have had a louder snare pop. The bass mix was inconsistent all night. One song was significantly louder than any other song. I waited all night for them to play Acrylic, but they didn't. I just wanted to have a reason to dance. I waited 13 years to see the Courteeners play in America after bunking with a mate from Manchester, England and honestly, I would have been happier just staying at home listening to records by the Clash instead.

  • One of the Best Ever...

I last saw the Courteeners around 13 years ago and have been patiently waiting for the lads to make a return to the US. In the time since they have gone from playing 500 capacity venues to arenas and stadiums, like Heaton Park and Old Trafford, with crowds of 50,000 or more. To see them back in a more intimate setting for a mere $20, well, it was like Christmas had come early. As the anticipation grew, it was clear that the modest crowd were predominantly British. Belting out the Oasis tune, "Morning Glory", with the voice of 10,000 men and women as it was played over the PA! The atmosphere was already that of a cup final, even though the band had yet to make their way onto the stage. When they did, they brought all the energy of those bigger venue gigs and compressed it into an explosive ball of electric. I'm not easily impressed these days but from beginning to end there were multiple moments where the hairs on my neck stood on end and I found myself smiling uncontrollably. It was clear that I wasn't the only one feeling this way. During the chorus of Lose Control, the bass was so vicious, it was shaking the walls and the floor like an earthquake, more powerfully than I've ever experienced at any gig, anywhere, EVER...! I say with no word of exaggeration that this experience was simply epic. If I never see another gig, I would be happy that I did at least experience this one.
