About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

It was great seeing the Dixie Chicks however the venue had the music turned down so low I could hear other people's conversations over the show......and of course their concession prices were stupid high.

Great music and great energy through the night. They sound even better in person.

  • Dixie Chicks Rocked!

    by Grover1212121212122322 on 7/13/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

This was an amazing show. I left more of a fan than I was before the show!

  • Dixie Chicks did not disappoint!!

    by MamaDeedee77 on 7/13/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

We had great seats, really close to the stage. They were just as amazing as they were the first time we saw them. Warmed my heart with the Prince tribute. Natalie can sing anything and make it even more beautiful!! Martie and Emily were phenomenal on their strings, as well. Loved the instrumentals! Only bad part were some really loud drunk women in front of us. They, yelled and took photos through The ballads, and were more interested in their facebooks, than the concert. A nice elderly lady, asked them to please be more respectful of the other concert goers, and was told to move if she didn't like their behavior. But they did quiet some, so we were fine. All in all, I wish we could travel to another concert venue to hear them again

  • Amazing Evening

by laceygnw on 7/13/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

When they said 'Rain or Shine,' they meant it. That didn't deter me and my girls. We made the hour and a half journey south to see the girls that we've missed for so long. They sang their little hearts out as if they hadn't been gone ten years. We love the Dixie Chicks and can't wait to see what the future holds. Can't wait for the next show!

  • Better than Ever

by carriechris on 7/13/16White River Amphitheatre - AuburnRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks have only gotten better!! Lots of reminiscing about all the years of awesome music they gave us. The stage graphics were entertaining. The political statements were subtle but thankfully present. All ages of attendees stood for two hours singing and swinging and having a wonderful time!!

  • The Chicks Still Rock!!

  • Great as always

by EBoullet on 7/13/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

They were absolutely wonderful again! If you aren't a diehard you'll still like it but may not know some songs. Venue parking was AWFUL! We left a little early and sat in our lot for 90min before even moving an inch - literally.

  • Dixie Chick's Best Concert Ever!

    by 1659llb on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

They are back even more entertaining then they were 10 years ago. Their singing, the instruments, their band and the gigantic screen behind them. They are fantastic!

  • Dixie Chicks were amazing

  • Dixie Chicks - Still a High-Class Act

by JAMMONS on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Great performance, decent stage show, excellent set list.

  • Finally!

by superkickassmom on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

I've waited 10 years for this concert and the ladies did not disappoint. They sang all of the old favorites, threw in a tribute to Prince, and a Beyonce song. Continued to share their liberal outlook without any shame. Love them! My daughter enjoyed the show as well and can now count herself as a fan.

  • DCX - Awesome show

    by Lonewolfme22 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 3 out of 5

The show was awesome. Some performers don't sound the same in concert as on the radio. But the Dixie Chicks vocals and music was like listening to them on radio but only live. They truly have talent and would pay again to see them over and over again. Love the DCXs.

  • It was OK. I guess I was expecting more

by Easternoregon on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 2 out of 5

Not enough old stuff. That was there most popular stuff and that is what I wanted to hear

  • The Best Concert I have ever been to

    by Jujubee2 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

Run don't walk to the nearest DCX concert! My husband and I took our two young adult daughters to see them and we are glad we did. They were so full of energy and looked and sounded just as good as they always did. I loved their gutsy, pro-people message that did not hold back on the hate that is happening in the US lately. They played all the great songs, included a moving tribute to Prince and got the whole ampitheater dancing and shouting all the lyrics. We had so much fun, we were exhausted but feeling like we did something worthwhile with our kids. I'm so glad they were brave enough to come back fighting and singing and entertaining. Money well spent!

  • Amazing the Dixie chicks rocked!!

    by MissShasta80 on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The set list was great. They played both the classics and new stuff. They kept the crowd involved by having both slow and fast passed songs intermingled.

  • Simply AMAZING!

by Elack on 7/12/16Sunlight Supply Amphitheater - RidgefieldRating: 5 out of 5

The must see show of the year! Visually captivating, the music and the visual worked together so well, whoever put this show together was absolutely BRILLIANT! All the favorite old songs and the great new ones! LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

  • Go see DCX

Absolutely incredible show: such talent, fantastic venue, amazing vibe, inclusive space. So beyond the parameters of a "traditional" country show. Empowering, all-encompassing, transcendent.
