About

The Chicks are one of country music’s most influential and boundary-pushing groups. Formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 by sisters Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire, The Chicks (formerly known as the Dixie Chicks) rocketed to pop stardom with the addition of lead vocalist Natalie Maines in 1995. The multi-platinum trio would go on to win 12 Grammy Awards and become the best-selling female band of all time in the U.S., with 33 million albums sold worldwide. By blending honky-tonk with bluegrass and soaring pop vocals, The Chicks appealed to a diverse audience that stretched far beyond their country roots. Signature hits like 1999’s “Cowboy Take Me Away” and 1998’s “Wide Open Spaces,” along with their bluegrass virtuosity, saw The Chicks go from opening for Tim McGraw in 1999 to headlining massive concert tours that have sold over $100 million in tickets. 2020’s Gaslighter (produced by Jack Antonoff) was The Chicks’ first album in 14 years, and the catalyst for a 2023 tour where country-pop superstar Maren Morris will join the trio on a string of dates.

  • SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!

by MP on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks put on a fantastic show! I grew up listening to them and was thrilled to sing along to their new and old songs. We did have some rude people in front of us who did not like the political bits of the concert and attempted to video my sister and me after they realized we were laughing at the political bits. They were slightly rude and unenjoyable to be around but we did not let that ruin our fun!

  • Incredible show

The Chicks have not lost their sound at all still put on a great show and sound great!! They keep going for 2 hours start to finish it was wonderful.

  • Better

They just keep getting better with time. Highly recommend seeing them.

  • Waste of time and money

    by PO'd on 9/26/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 1 out of 5

First of all when I bought my five tickets it was scheduled for a weekend so I could take my granddaughters with me they have to go to school so they were unable to attend on a weeknight. When they reschedule they should do it for n the same.night of the week as the original concert date. Second, Natalie sounded awful her voice was out of pitch and the music was so much louder than her which was probably a good thing because it covered up some of her terrible sounding voice. Third, They need to keep politics out of their concert, you would think that pie mouth Natalie would have learned her lesson by now

  • Not the same

by Ed on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The Chicks are a band I have loved since I was a teenager. My dad and I used to jam out to them singing every word to their first few albums. We saw their Fly tour and thought they were amazing. This particular concert was cancelled then rescheduled to an inconvenient date part of my party couldn’t make it. But the rest of us reschedule our lives paid for another trip and hotel to see them. Only to sit for a couple of hours of almost every song from Gaslighter with very little old stuff and 3 songs dedicated to views that not every one aligns with. I would be a liar if I said it was what I expected. The Chicks are not the same and it was disappointing. But that does not take away from how talented they are or how enjoyable their music is but this will be the last time I pay to see them in concert.

  • THE BEST!

by klrogers on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Always the best show!!! Will 100% see The Chicks every time they tour and come to Nashville!

  • Good sound, bad visuals

by JN on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 1 out of 5

The Chicks sounded incredible, however I wished they would've played more of their older music. We ended up leaving early after the vibe changed when they got political. While I knew their opinions going in I paid for a concert and to listen to their music. I don't care about their opinions and the video paired with March March was really triggering and saddening. Especially living in Nashville where we had a school shooting earlier this year it made me sick being reminded of the tragedy when I showed up to a concert to have fun and listen to music. I would not recommend seeing them live again and I will have a hard time listening to their music now.

  • The Best!!

by HB on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen them several times and so many other artists but the Nashville Chicks concert, will forever go in the books as THE BEST! The energy in the room was like no other and their talent is something you don't see anymore. Musically and vocally, they are at the top of their game. Rock on girls!

  • Amazing!

by SW on 9/26/23Bridgestone Arena - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been listening to The Chicks since I was a little girl. The show was worth every penny.

  • Amazing show

Fantast Performance and moving message! Love these chicks!!!

  • Still awesome!

by Midroadrider on 9/25/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks wowed us with their amazing musical talent with both their instruments & their voices. Great, fun show with a good message about inclusion & love. Most of the crowd was on their feet most of the show because they were too good to be seated.

  • Chicks

by Jax on 9/25/23Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The chicks concert was not as great as their other concerts. They played very little of their older stuff which the crowd loved. They never left the centre of the stage or really engaged with the crowd. Marren Morris was better by far. Disappointed to say the least

  • is now extremely loud it’s now just one big

by Mike on 9/25/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Terrible not the same talent and harmony just a big show of videos and loud noise

  • Fun until it wasn’t.

    by Mll1979 on 9/25/23Merriweather Post Pavilion - ColumbiaRating: 3 out of 5

The Chicks concert was fun, they did play a lot of songs I wasn’t familiar with but it was still a good time. Until it wasn’t. While The Chicks’ political views don’t bother me, when they played the list of all the mass shootings in the country and the total deaths, it just about sucked the fun out of the venue. I know the world is an ugly place, but I go to a concert for a fun night, not to be reminded for several minutes just how ugly and cruel the world is.

  • Great show!

by Jess on 9/25/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time. Played quite a few songs from earlier in the career. Could have done without the political nonsense but everyone entitled to their own opinion. Didn’t ruin it for me.

  • Good show

by MJ on 9/25/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show, still a talented group of ladies. We were a bit disappointed to first reach our seats and see a huge light was placed directly in front of us blocking our view directly. That sucked actually. Until we decided to move to some empty seats a couple sections over, we then could actually enjoy the show. Last show at TBA the artist has similar lights suspended from the rafters in nobody's way. Why these were in the aisles right in many people's sight lines is beyond me.

  • Great show

by Ekatz on 9/24/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Chicks put on a FABULOUS SHOW!!!! Worst part was the venue making everyone pour their drinks into plastic cups if you were on the floor… so if you bought a bottled water you had to pour it in a tall plastic cup… it made for LOTS and LOTS of spilled drinks everywhere because of course people stand up and dance and it’s crowded. So we were standing in spilled drinks.

  • Chicks still got it! But.......

by Bruner on 9/24/23Food City Center - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The opening band in Knoxville was so boring. Then one hour between opening and when Chicks started was painful. I could watch videos of old acts at home. We literally had to watch videos of Pat Benetar, Tina Turner, Stevie Nicks for an hour. All legends...but not even remotely country music and really boring. We almost left after half hour of that. But Im glad we didn't because the Chicks still got it. They really impressed! The sound quality at the venue was off somehow though.

  • Chicks were awesome!

by CH8 on 9/24/23Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 4 out of 5

CMAC is a wonderful venue to see a concert. The warm up act was the worst I have ever seen. I would rather have listened to a cover band or a DJ. The Chicks were wonderful. Great energy, great sound, awesome concert!

It was good I was very broken. I went to my closet four times to get dressed and couldn’t and kept crawling back into bed and just saying forget it I’m not going and then I had a person in my life saying get up and go right now getting it get in an Uber and go and I did. Wearing the T-shirt my father died in, a really dirty pair of jeans and a pair of flip-flops And they were fantastic
