"Hey baby, do you wanna take a trip with me? / I've got a feeling there might be a silver lining all around." So begins One Day, the captivating new album from critically acclaimed Minneapolis duo The Cactus Blossoms. Written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, the record explores the tension between optimism and despair that's defined much of the past few years of American life, examining the power (or naïveté, depending on your perspective) of positive thinking in the face of chaos and uncertainty. The songs here are tender and timeless, with straightforward arrangements centered around brothers Jack Torrey and Page Burkum's airtight harmonies, and the performances are warm and intimate to match, delivered with a soulful, '70s-inspired palette of playful Wurlitzer, breezy guitars, and muscular percussion.
The Cactus Blossoms broke out nationally in 2016 with their JD McPherson-produced debut, You're Dreaming. Dates with Kacey Musgraves, Jenny Lewis, and Lucius followed, as did raves from the New York Times and NPR, who praised "the brothers' extraordinary singing." The band was further catapulted into the spotlight in 2018, when David Lynch tapped them to perform in the return of Twin Peaks, and continued to build on their success with their 2019 sophomore LP, Easy Way, which led Rolling Stone to laud the duo's "rock-solid, freak of genetics harmonies."

LOVED everything about this show. Fantastic band all around. They sounded even better live than they do on the recordings… go see the Cactus Blossoms whenever they’re in town!
The Cactus Blossoms put on an incredible show. The songs were from all of their albums. The band was tight. The vocals and harmonies were wonderful and brought back memories of the Everly Brothers and the Beatles. The only disappointment was the size of the audience. This show deserved to be sold out.
Love the band. Acoustics could have been better in Crystal Ballroom. The diction of the Cactus Blossoms’ vocals was better on speaker in restroom than in the Crystal Ballroom.
They kind of take me back to music in the 50’s when none of it was over produced but at the same time it was all fresh and new. Some tunes were dreamy, others rocked and others transported me. I could not love them more
ticket master is a great way to purchase tickets- i have never had a problem!! the high noon saloon is a fun music venue!!
Ive seen the Cactus Blossoms several times and they never disappoint. They are such talented musicians. Their new record is just lovely and it was a treat to hear the new songs live as well as their classics. They are not to be missed.
I was lucky enough to catch these guys at the Mercury Lounge. I first heard about them on Twitter about a week before. Checked out some Youtubes and streamed their album on Rhapsody. The album is a gem almost every song is a hit. Do not Miss!!
