THE BUCKINGHAMS IN CONCERT:
The sweet sounds of the '60s are alive and well with sunshine pop veterans The Buckinghams. It's been half a century since the band first rose to fame with upbeat favorites like "Kind of a Drag", and today they transport fans back to pop's golden age whenever they perform. Classic hits like "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" sound as good as ever, and the group's signature lush harmonies and resplendent orchestration have stood the test of time. With their classic showmanship and catalog of nostalgic pop hits, The Buckinghams make fans fall "Back In Love Again" every time they take the stage.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The Buckinghams formed in Chicago in the mid-'60s at the height of the British Invasion then sweeping the nation. They achieved regional success with early singles like "I'll Go Crazy", and in 1966 things really took off when they shot to national fame with No. 1 smash "Kind of a Drag". They followed up with a string of Top 20 hits that included "Susan" and "Don't You Care", and in 1967 Billboard named them "The Most Listened-To Band in America". Despite their popularity the band was unable to maintain their early chart success, and in 1970 they called it quits. But not all was lostóin 1980 a Chicago radio station invited the group to perform a reunion show, and they've been back at it ever since with a lineup that includes original members Nick Fortuna and Carl Giammarese. In addition to touring regularly with bands like The Turtles and The Grass Roots, the band made a triumphant return to the studio in the '00s with popular albums like Live and Well (2006) and The Joy of Christmas (2008). They immortalized their legendary live shows in 2010 with the live album Up Close: The Buckinghams in Concert, and they continue to carry the torch for sunny '60s pop every time they perform.

The Buckinghams put on a GREAT show. They not only sang, but had everyone laughing at times. And, it was so nice to be able to sing aling with them. Would go to see them again in a Heartbeat.
Wow loves the songs they sang. They were funny and so talented can't wait to see them again.
The music was just as I remembered it. It took me back to my high school days where all the girls were just like “Susan”.
Just an incredibly good show. Excellent performances of terrific memories. And you will be hard pressed to find a venue as nice as this theater.
This group knows who they are. They are great musicians who have a certain number of songs that they had hits with in the late sixties. But that does not make a show. So they use their great instrumental abilities to create a show out of stories, and the famous songs that inhabit those stories. The talent of the two original members of the group are eclipsed by the lead guitarist, who is phenomenal. The banter between Carl and Nick never gets old, and the audience shouldn't either! I will see them as long as they keep coming!
The show was much better than expected--it was awesome and definitely worth the time and expense to fly from Wyoming to LV just to see it !! Wish the band was on our Oldie's cruise this march and back on the Happy Together tour.
All four of us who attended the show loved it. They entertained us for almost 2 hours with no break. Absolutely great show and great room to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
OMG what a great show - this show was incredible and I'm so glad we went. Very entertaining. I remember this group group from that 60's and they still got it. So glad they are still performing. Sure brought back a lot of memories and I knew all the words to all their songs. Can't wait to see them again.
The Buckinghams played all their hit, paid tribute to the era and did a great tribute to "Chicago" the band named for their city. They sounded great in a nice small setting. They had a good band that really put on a show for us.
Loved the performers and the show! They performed almost 2 hours and we had a great time singing along with some great songs.
Besides performing their hit songs this talented group of musicians played the songs of many other bands and artists. The audience sang along with many of the songs and the group received many applauses and cheers.
We had such a blast! Knew every song they did & had a such a great time singing along with our friends! Would recommend seeing them & we will be going again when we get a chance!
Great music and their medleys of the old rock and roll bands were great. Turtles, Tommy James & the Shondells, Chicago, Grass Roots, etc. I think they only sang about 5-6 of their own songs, but it was their greatest hits. The show was longer than a normal show and lasted about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Funny stories about their beginnings and events.
The lead singer turned off his mike whenever he started singing. When he spoke to the crowd, we could hear him but the band was playing he just lip-synked all the songs. The other singer did the same thing. Very disappointing. On the way out of the venue, other people agreed about the lipsinking. Don't bother unless you just are okay with listening to the band.
It was a great experience hearing the songs that made them famous from my youth!! Their songs were still going through my head the next day! The variety of songs they played during the performance was like seeing Tommy James & Shondells, Grassroots & the Turtles all in one night!! I will see them whoever they come back to Vegas!,,
A must see! They were great. I will see them again if I can.
Great music, audience couldn’t sit still. Lots of energy from the band!
Great show, sounded great! Can’t wait for the Happy Together your to see them again!
We had a ball and were so impressed with the Buckinghams! Really great show!
