This was an excellent concert. Great venu, In my opinion the ideal size for a concert. PA system was reasonable. The only downside was it became VERY smokey in the room by the end of the concert.
This was my first time here at the Duck Room at Blueberry Hill. I was very impressed with the venue and I really liked how close I was to the band. The opening band was a somewhat unknown band called Times New Viking. They were somewhat of a mix between Sonic Youth meets Breeders meets Nirvana. Very eclectic and they were a great opener for the Breeders. The Breeders played several songs that I was not familiar with, I for one have not been following as close as I did back in the 1990s. The songs that I did remember were 'Last Splash,' 'Iris,' and of course they did an excellent cover of 'Happiness is a Warm Gun.' All in all I was impressed with the show and I was kicking myself for not being more familiar with the band. Regardless it was an excellent show, even if you aren't familiar with their catalog I would highly recommend this show!
Kim and Kelly were on their game! The set was a perfect mix of old and new material. Their enthusiasm and pure enjoyment of what they do was apparent from start to finish. Lots of fun! Oh, and Kim's voice is just as it was 20 years ago. Highly recommended!
Great show, not too crowded, cost of the show and the merch at the show was very reasonable. The band was great and was interactive with the audience, they hung out after the show and took pictures with the fans.
