THE BOXER REBELLION IN CONCERT:

Indie rockers the Boxer Rebellion have been wowing audiences around the world with their infectious collection of hits since their inception in 2001. The band mixes emotive lyrics and catchy guitar riffs with hard-hitting drums and the crooning of frontman Nathan Nicholson to create a driving rock sound that plays out perfectly live. They shred out fan favorites like "The Runner" alongside the popular track "Diamonds" from 2013's Promises with immense energy, and fans can't help but clap and sing along to their hit-filled sets on their thrilling live tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Boxer Rebellion formed in London when Nashville, Tennessee, native Nathan Nicholson moved to the UK on a whim in 2000 and met Australian Todd Howe soon after. They were joined by London Music School grads Adam Harrison on bass and Piers Hewitt on drums, and after spending few years honing their craft the band earned an opening gig on A Perfect Circle's 2003 tour. They released their full-length debut Exits in 2005, but it wasn't until four years later that they truly broke out with the hugely popular album Union. The record spawned several popular tracks that were featured in major television series and films, earning the baqnd rave reviews from critics and fans alike and putting them on the map as an indie rock force to be reckoned with. Two more acclaimed albums followed -- The Cold Still (2011) and Promises (2013) -- drawing the band out for extensive worldwide touring in support of the releases. The Boxer Rebellion continues to deliver one unforgettable set after another on their high-octane tours.

Shot Down in Amazement, The Boxer Rebellion

by MachineGunKitteh on 4/17/11Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

...Nights like these are few and far between, sadly. With the support act (by no means needing the word support) We Are Augustine opened the evening in spectacular fashion. Honest to God emotion and thanks is always a crowd pleaser - And I was suckered in like a fish on a dirty tank... After a few more vodka's The Boxer Rebellion began their set... What a wondeful experience. Having been somewhat reluctant to express my real admiration for the band of men from various countries I have to now say "BLOODY BRILLIANT" and slapped me like kitten in play... sharp and deliberate. The effort and care the lads put in would assure them in my memory bank of gigs as eventuful and worthy of repeating in drunken conversations.... They had to be good.. I busted out a classic "windmill dance".... Ever greatful for the response from the crowd at the Music Hall Williamsburg The Boxers signed CD's and were utter gentleman..... Now... I wish same could be said about the theif that stole my purse and phone.... I did get both back minus my holiday spending money!! BAD TIMES. Please make a concerted effort to listen to The Boxers.. you won't be disappointed...... Machine Gun Antics are pretty cool!! BANG BANG KITTEH!!

    Rawkers

by Anonymous on 4/16/11Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Guys keep progressing their style. Writing and musicianship is stronger as their library gets more and more robust with different moods and arrangements. Strange mix of crowd-some looking for pop hits and those wanting the more aggressive and introspective nature of this music. Opening band We Are Augustines rocked hard. Good combo billing.

These guys give an incredible experience! A few friends and I were rocking out in the front row and after the concert one of their roadies came up to us and told us the band and manager wanted us to come back and check out the band if we wanted. Our jaws dropped over how cool the whole group acted, so nice and

    Worth the wait

by Danceteria on 9/25/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Have been watching for tBR to hit the states since iTunes did the Live at London recording. They did not disappoint. Bowery Ballroom is a great venue -- like NYC used to be with a minimum of posers (mmm, take that back, I think there were more posers in the Mudd Club days). They seemed humbled by the crowd -- these guys deserve so much more of a following !!
