Absolutely amazing, Black Dahlia Murder killed it!

    by Lunchbox8188 on 4/15/12Masquerade - Atlanta

I went primarily to see The Black Dahlia Murder and Skeletonwitch and both of those bands did not dissapoint. I also like Nile so seeing them was cool and they did an awesome job too but like I said I wasn't really there specifically to see them. Both of the bands I was there to see from the moment they took the stage were very clear that they meant business. I along with most of the crowd found myself singing (or screaming/growling rather) along to a good chunk of The Black Dahlia Murder's songs. I was headbanging the rest of the time when I wasn't singing including the whole time Skeletonwitch was playing being as sad as it is I don't know alot of their lyrics by heart. I really enjoyed this show as did my gf who hasn't been to many shows outside of the local scene. She and I both are huge fans of The Black Dahlia Murder and they are my favorite band period as well as one of her favorites if not the favorite over all. I hung around after and got to meet some of them and take pics and get autographs which was cool. They are not only amazing musicians but a great bunch of guys as well who truly care about and appreciate their fans. So to sum everything up if you even kind of like this type of music and want to see a great show you should go. SERIOUSLY DON'T MISS IT!

Epic night was had at the Masquerade

by unseenfirestone on 4/15/12Masquerade - Atlanta

Overall, the show was spectacular. Hour of Penance was a really top-notch band from Italy to open up for the night's festivities. Skeletonwitch was a great blackened thrash band that rejuvenated the audience to build excitement to see Nile and Black Dahlia. Nile's set list was stupendous. Old-school death metal band that can still deliver a punch with veracity. Finally, black dahlia murder was the main band, and most enjoyable band of the night. I'm sure most of the hard-core Nile fans will admit that Black Dahlia's performance was deserving to be billed as the primary band. Their engagement of the audience, and willingness to play old-school songs from their first albums was very appreciated and well-received. If your an avid metal-head, then this show is a must!

    Brutal show!

    by Sharkdriver2k3 on 4/15/12Masquerade - Atlanta

TBDM & Nile were great as usual. No surprises from their sets. Hour of Penance is one of my new favorite bands now. I wish they had more time to play. Pleasant surprise of the night though was Skeltonwitch. I wasn't particularly looking forward to them but they were awesome. I woke up the next day audibly beaten. I can't wait 'til next time XD

Blood runs black & Whitechapel were awesome!!

by Addy69 on 8/19/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

The other bands were decent but Blood runs black and Whitechapel were sick. They both had an amazing show that I'll never forget with awesome breakdowns.

    better bands

by kaosR on 8/19/11Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

whoever is planning these shows has a great idea but they are bringing bands that are not supposed to be there (the band that plays video games covers wtf) more time to the bands ,dying fetus six feet under should have played longer sets

A must for any metal summer, but...

by FleshgodFanpocalypse on 8/16/11Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

When a band couldn't play, I had no idea until I got to the venue (which is what happened with Fleshgod Apocalypse). In the future, an email notification about event mishaps like that would be nice. But aside from a few bands I didn't like, it was a solid show whenever I was seeing the bands I loved.

I got there when GoatWhore was playing. They were pretty heavy just like BDM and their drummer was just relentless on the bass drum. BDM kicked ass too. "What a horrible night to have a curse" was intense... and so was the entire show!!!!!

The Black Dahlia Murder are monsters

by tolkienfanatic on 3/20/10Trocadero - Philadelphia

BDM are the best at what they do, enough said. From Trevor's screams and growls to Ryan's technical solos to Shannon's blast beats. Pure perfection.

Dahlia continues to be one of the greatest bands I've ever seen live and the energy from the crowd was insane. The venue is perfect for metal shows and I'd love to play there myself. Everything was run smoothly, security were nice people and The Black Dahlia Murder tore it up as always

    Black Dahlia Murder

by Furni on 3/6/10The Rock - Tucson

The Black Dahlia Murder show was an overall good experience. From the opening bands to the main event was good. The venue was not big and it was a standing venue but I enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to be so close to the performers and meet them.

    KILLER SHOW!!!

by MACHINEHEADFREAK on 3/1/10Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Black Dahlia Delivered as usual!!!! They put on a great show and the pits were sick!!! Super nice guys too!!! Kalakia opened up as the first band and they were really good! Gonna go see them again with Deicide 3/14. Next band up was Hatesphere and they were awesome too!!! That was my first time seeing them, loved it!!! Next up was Augury, not my kinda metal, didn't care for them much, no movement on stage, plus their mic's needed to be turned up, could barely hear the singer. Next up was Obscura, they were excellent!! Killer guitar playing!!! Overall, Dahlia was the best of course, and I'll see them everytime they come to town!!!
