The big 4 was awesome..... best bands ever.... Metallica rules
This concert was awesome. I had a great night, most definitly unforgetable.
Not even my type of music- but this concert was AMAZING! The atmosphere was unreal! The only band i found disappointing were Megadeath, sooo didn't get the crowd going.
Definitely lived up to the hype! and metallica kicked ass!
This was the best concert I have ever seen, metallica killed it. I was amazed the concert was 7 hours long, it was definitely one of the best nights of my life. METALLICA IS THE GREATEST BAND EVER.
great show from matallica the other 3 were pretty good
The Big 4 show at Yankee Stadium was, without a doubt, the best show I have ever been to. Each and every band was excellent and it was an honor to have been there!
Concert was absolutely amazing!!! Best one I've ever been to!!! Loved it
Was an outstanding concert despite the seats that i had.
If there was one thing to complain about i guess it would be the lack of security maybe? But as for the gig itself wow where to start. Arrived at yankee stadium to get my tickets. Was a bit awkward getting the tickets as i was told by one steward to go to gate 4 and another to go to gate 2 but got the tickets eventually and made my way inside. Wow, first time in yankee stadium and i get to see one of the best bands ever! Walk into the stadium to be shown straight to an elevator. I was prepared for alot of climbing but no not here, they had elevators in yankee to take us right to our floor. How cool is that? Right on time the music starts with anthrax. First time hearing this band and they are great. Megadeth are up next and i am thinking, how have i not heard these guys before they rock. Slayer are up next and they are good too, a little heavier than the other but quite good. Then the excitement in the stadium reaches a new peak as we realise that next on stage has to be Metallica. OMG what an awesome band. I love their music and listening to them playing live just made me like them even more. They were unbelievable. It was an unforgettable night! Rock on the big 4!
This was my first visit to the new Yankee Stadium and it was well worth the trip. Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica all played the songs that I was hoping to hear. And it was good to see Anthrax for the first time. Megadeth had the best sound for the show while Metallica's vocals seemed a bit too low. All 4 bands getting together to play Overkill was also very cool. It was definitely a show of a life time.
The show was awesome from Anthrax to Metallica. I have no complaints. Light show for Metallica was awesome as was the pyro technics. Never a dull moment
I have followed these bands since the 80's. If you missed out, so sorry for you. All four bands put on a hell of a show. Anthrax should have been given a higher bill. They are the Bronx. Wish they would have had longer sets. Sophia DVD has Megadeth and Anthrax playing more songs. I understand why Megadeth didn't perform longer(Mustaine's neck injury) but Anthrax should have been given a longer set. Slayer ripped the stage up! Good thing there was a long intermittion between Slayer and Metallica sets. Metallica, however, put on a great show! All bands gave it all. Props to Mustaine for sticking it out. I am grateful to have been a part of history with all my fellow Metalheads!
Great show, all 4 bands brought their 'A' game. Slayer was tight and Metallica just rocked.
AMAZING SHOW FOR NYC, I WILL NEVER FORGET IT! my friend just came in from puerto rico to see them!!
Overall, The Big 4 was an amazing experience. This was the first stadium concert where the sound quality was nothing short of incredible! There were no delays in the feed, everything came out crisp, clean and LOUD! I am a huge fan of Anthrax and was thrilled when they took the stage like the Metal Monsters they are. Their performance as well as their playing was percise and sounded even better than their albums; something I love to see a band accomplish. Megadeth was next, another band I was looking foward to seeing. Musically they were perfect, but their performance seemed a bit held back. It wasn't until the middle of their set that we learned Dave wasn't physically well and it was recommended that he not perform, so the fact that they came on at all and played as well as they did speaks a great deal to their dedication to the fans! Watching Slayer was like witnessing a destructive force of nature take the stage...they were relentless and ruthless, shredding through their setlist without the slightest hesitation or break! Unfortunately, Metallic was disappointing from the very beginning. I have seen them several times and their performance as well as their percision of playing has always been impeccable, but not at this show. Lars' playing was consistently off and sloppy which eventually affected the rest of the bands playing. As the show progressed their constant mistakes were dreadfully obvious to everyone around me and sadly became quite the disappointment. I enjoyed their setlist, playing many songs from their earlier days of thrash, but because their playing was less than impressive, it wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped it would be. For me the two bands that stole the show were Anthrax and Slayer. Their energy radiated in every song that they performed!
Another great show from Metallica. Anthrax, Megadeth & Slayer played awesome sets as well. Nothing like an outdoor concert at Yankee Stadium with 4 of the greatest Metal Bands of all time.
There are no real words that can express how awesome this concert was. I will admit, however, I was there with my husband just to see Metallica. Anthrax and Megadeth were outstanding. I didn't care for Slayer very much, but then Metallica stole the show, as usual! We were higher up in the stadium, but the sound quality was perfect!!! I was sorry it had to end!!!
this show was the best ever the songs were great the best show ever in the yankee stadium
All these bands kicked ass. wish jeff was there for slayer and dave mustane was in good health. you could tell he was hurting. megadeth set seemed short. wish anthrax would have played 3rd since it was in the bronx, their home town. james from Metallica sounded the best i've heard him sound in a long time. every set list was heavy, heavy, heavy!
