The Beach Boys Concert Schedule

As vanguards of the California surf rock sound belting out beach-themed, summertime lyrics backed by harmonized vocals, the Beach Boys personify surf culture, popularizing it worldwide. This garbage band-turned-pop legends are influences for derivative rock music, such as punk rock and garage rock, and musical artists and groups, including Paul McCartney and R.E.M. The Beach Boys North American tour of 2017-2018 features music from the group's compilation album, 1967 - Sunshine Tomorrow, which was released in June 2017. This album includes unreleased songs and live recordings, including "Wild Honey" and "California"-- a Billboard chart-topping rock 'n' roll hit. Expect to hear other tour music from this musical group's other popular albums, including Pet Sounds, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!), Surfin' U.S.A. , and All Summer Long. Some of the group's previous tours are the 2012 50th Reunion Tour, and 2016 Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour. The Beach Boys live concert experience involves listening to the glossy vocal harmonizing in the signature California rock tunes the group is known for alongside a live band playing the relaxing, psychedelic sounds from hits such as "Surfin' U.S.A." and "Barbara Ann." The Beach Boys' accolades stretch decades, including multiple Grammy Award nominations for "Good Vibrations" in 1967, a 1989 Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Kokomo," a 2001 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and Hall of Fame inductions in 1994 for "Good Vibrations" and in 2017 for "I Get Around." Check out The Beach Boys concert tour dates to see this classic American rock 'n' roll group live.

The Beach Boys Background

Hailing from the Southern California city of Hawthorne, The Beach Boys got their start in the early 1960s as teens in a garage band when the founders and original members, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, began singing psychedelic tunes encouraged by the Wilson brothers' parents to perform music. The Beach Boys draw their cultural and musical influences from their Southern California teen beach life and R&B and rock 'n' roll legends, including Chuck Berry and Johnny Otis. Later joined by members David Marks and Bruce Johnston, The Beach Boys continued to influence the public sphere as innovators of the California rock music genre.

    beach boys was great

by jocko on 7/11/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

The concert was very good, I enjoyed the music and enjoyed watching the people around me they were moving to the music. I noticed that a lot of women were moving around a lot, encluding my wife. I also enjoyed the audiance participation to some of the songs. I think that there should be a video of the concert that we could purchase for the people at the concert. If you would like to send me one for evaluation I would appreciate it.

    Memories

by happycamper on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The whole event was fantastic. Brought back a lot of memories. Could just about remember where and when each song was heard the first time. Loved every minute. It was "neat" to see that Mike's own son was one of the band members. (not bad voice) The size of the theater made a difference too. We were in the balcony, second row, center seats and was perfect. At times it was a little hard to understand what was being said or sung, but most of the crowd already knew the words and didn't mind that it sounded a little muffled. Don't know if that is because the speakers for the instruments were too loud or what. I've been to some concerts where earplugs are needed and can't hear the singer at all. Now that is not my kind of entertainment. The show was "GREAT".

The Beach Boys are American Idols!

by SurferGirl69 on 7/11/09Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

For years, my mom wanted to see the Beach Boys. They were headliners at the Illinois State Fair several years in a row, but something always prevented us from going. Not this time, and I am NOT sorry! From the minute they set foot on stage until they stopped about 2 and a half hours later, this classic, multi-generational American icon in music entertained the crowd. They took 1 or 2 short breaks, but the atmosphere was so fun, that no one in our area even noticed. For a group of gentlemen that are mostly in their 60s and 70s, they have more energy than people half their age. Do not think for a second that The Beach Boys would be a waste of your money. It was worth every cent, I would have paid more, AND it gave me a memory with my mom that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Beach Boys!!

    Beach Boys were great

    by missy46 on 7/10/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

My family and I go to alot of concerts and we all real pleased with the Fraze and the way it is set up. This was our first visit and we do plan on coming back. The concert itself was all I expected it would be. This was our first time seeing the beach boys and it was great, even our kids had a good time.

    Enjoyable evening with Beach Boys

by mumsie on 7/10/09The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

The evening was most enjoyable; hearing the old songs with a super backup band was a terrific experience. We have grown old in a comfortable way. Glad they have given up bikini girls and are themselves. I first saw them at Michigan State in 1966; again at a Convention in LA and now in Canada. The music is timeless.

    Beach Boys

by PamfromOhio on 7/10/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

Great show! They came to sing and they did!! Two hour show is exceptional. I believe they gave us all the hits and then some. Nice humor and great sound. I do wish Mike had acknowledged one middle aged gal in the front row who was having a great time - stood appropriately several times - clearly enjoying the show and very much a fan. He was too busy with 3 or 4 young gals at the other end of the stage. I wasn't the only one present to notice the snub. Other than that great show!

    by refump1 on 7/10/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

I actually bought the tickets for my parents for Mother's Day and Father's Day. They called me as soon as it was over and told me how awesome the concert was and they would go see them again. They were unbelievable.

    AWESOME!!

by laseesa on 7/10/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

There are just not enough GREAT words to describe the Beach Boys! They came on stage singing and except for a few breaks where they talked to the audience, they kept on singing. I took my 6 year old grand-son because my husband wasn't able to go and at one point he looked up at me and said "they sing too much songs"!! It was great! the place was packed and we all had a great summer night singing and dancing with the greatest band of all time! Can't wait for them to come back!

beach boys was full of favorite old songs

by beachboys on 7/9/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

I took my parents to the beach boys for their 60th birthday and they loved it. They said it was very nostalgic and they remembered dancing to the songs as teenagers. Opening act Ball in the house was very good.

    Beach Boys.....was fun-fun-fun-tastic!

by Holabird on 7/9/09Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

Yes......I'm a 60+'s Beach Boys fan! Three friends and I had fifth row seats, just in front of Mike Love and their unbelievable guitar player. We made "fools" of ourselves(or for certain, I did)......clapping, singing and dancing(and I don't dance) for most of the two hour show! Each song and each sound were memorable......sounded just like the CD's we listened to as we drove to and from the Fraze. Fun, Fun, Fun! Jim
