The Beach Boys Concert Schedule
As vanguards of the California surf rock sound belting out beach-themed, summertime lyrics backed by harmonized vocals, the Beach Boys personify surf culture, popularizing it worldwide. This garbage band-turned-pop legends are influences for derivative rock music, such as punk rock and garage rock, and musical artists and groups, including Paul McCartney and R.E.M. The Beach Boys North American tour of 2017-2018 features music from the group's compilation album, 1967 - Sunshine Tomorrow, which was released in June 2017. This album includes unreleased songs and live recordings, including "Wild Honey" and "California"-- a Billboard chart-topping rock 'n' roll hit. Expect to hear other tour music from this musical group's other popular albums, including Pet Sounds, Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!), Surfin' U.S.A. , and All Summer Long. Some of the group's previous tours are the 2012 50th Reunion Tour, and 2016 Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour. The Beach Boys live concert experience involves listening to the glossy vocal harmonizing in the signature California rock tunes the group is known for alongside a live band playing the relaxing, psychedelic sounds from hits such as "Surfin' U.S.A." and "Barbara Ann." The Beach Boys' accolades stretch decades, including multiple Grammy Award nominations for "Good Vibrations" in 1967, a 1989 Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Kokomo," a 2001 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and Hall of Fame inductions in 1994 for "Good Vibrations" and in 2017 for "I Get Around." Check out The Beach Boys concert tour dates to see this classic American rock 'n' roll group live.
The Beach Boys Background
Hailing from the Southern California city of Hawthorne, The Beach Boys got their start in the early 1960s as teens in a garage band when the founders and original members, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson, began singing psychedelic tunes encouraged by the Wilson brothers' parents to perform music. The Beach Boys draw their cultural and musical influences from their Southern California teen beach life and R&B and rock 'n' roll legends, including Chuck Berry and Johnny Otis. Later joined by members David Marks and Bruce Johnston, The Beach Boys continued to influence the public sphere as innovators of the California rock music genre.

The Beach Boys are getting older, but so are we! I thought overall they had a good concert. I didn't know some of the songs they did in the last part of their concert, but I liked what I heard. They sang "Fun, Fun, Fun" at the end of their encore. Since we have a Thunderbird, we feel that is our "National Anthem".
This is Mike Love from the Original Beach Boys; we went to see them over the week end at Ho-Chunck Casino. They put on a great show; My wife and I were among a bunch of people that went up to the front of the stage, we were about 10 feet away from the band, it was cool. There were a lot of old people up there, jumping around like they were teenagers. My wife and I were able to get Mike Love’s autography; he was walking around by himself outside of one of the Restaurants there, I was waiting for my wife to come out of the washroom when I saw him. When my wife came out, I grab her hand and said come on, we walked up and asked Mike Love for his autography, he was on his cell phone and motion for us to wait, he hung up his phone and my wife gave him some paper to write on. That was kind of exciting after 40+ years.
The Beach Boys played for almost 3 hours. No Breaks No Intermissions. Just the Beachboys. I took my teenagers and they had almost as much fun as we did.
I really enjoyed it. Since I'm from the generation when the group was in its hayday, it was fun to see and hear the oldies. I guess the fact that we were seated so far back was good since I couldn't see much aging from that distance. Made me feel better too.
The Beach Boys concert was so much fun! The guys put on an awsome show!! I was sad when it was over but the three plus hour concert I will never forget! The whole place went just crazy especially on the most popular songs, no one could sit down. I will definately remember the Beach Boys concert!!!
A+ An excellant concert, one that all must see. We had a blast listening to all the old favorites along with some of the new ones they sang. We enjoyed the entire concert.
Grew up listening to them so every song was GREAT!
The concert was fabulous! The Beach Boys kept everyone rockin' for 2 1/2 hours. It was so much fun watching the audience and seeing people of all ages enjoying the moment. From the beach attire that many in the audience wore to the beach balls that were tossed around during the concert, it was a fantastic way to kick off the summer. The Beach Boys left all with a feeling of "Good Vibrations".
The Beach Boys were exactly what we hoped they'd be. I first saw them in 1965 when Sonny and Cher opened for them. It was a small theater and the place rocked. I can't believe they sound the same and played sooo many songs. The only one I missed was the song they did for "American Graffiti". Mike Love with his grandson?! How cool is that! Before they came on stage, the audience was tossing beach balls around, getting in the mood. Good stories and chatter. They proved that we can go "home" again!
The performance was great. We had a wonderful time enjoying all the songs from our era. The event center is very nice and we set in the back and felt like we were close enough.
I had a great time with my nieces. this will be something they remember all their lives. they civic center personell were great as usual and we felt safe and had the most remarkable time. My nieces were thrilled beyound belief. thank you!!!
Almost didn't go to this show but so glad we did....they were amazing!! They sang just like there were 20 again.....we were so impressed with the whole evening.....I don't think there is a bad seat in the house......the staff were polite and helpful, the light show was great, the singing was great......it was a GREAT evening! I really wasn't a Beach Boy fan before I went but I am now!! It was wonderful seeing the people in the audience having such a fun time.....especially at "our" age!! LOL The Beach Boys performed for almost two hours.....we REALLY enjoyed the night.
The Beach Boys Concert was S-U-P-E-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the first time I had the opportunity to see the Beach Boys in concert. I am about the same age as Mike, and have followed the group from just about the beginning. I was very very happy to be able to attend there concert in Peoria. Thanks to the organization who brought the group their. The boys did a wonderful job you would of never of thought that this was there, "hundred thousand show"!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again.
Took my 22 year old daughter to this show and we both loved it. Things started out slow, but warmed up quickly. Great summer concert!!!
The Beach boys still sound great after 30+ years. They sounded great. They played for almost 2 hours. They played their hits plus some other oldies hits. I could have bopped all night. The age jokes seemed a little corny. The audience was a little tame. (It made a nice change not to have drunk rowdy guys shoving to leave the venue.) The opening band Balls in the House were amazing!!!!!!!!!!
That was the best concert I have gone to in a long time. First time enjoying the beach at Mandalay Bay. The whole experience was awesome! Hope you have more.
THIS WAS MY SECOND CONCERT OF THE BEACH BOYS AT MANDALAY BAY. AS ALWAYS,NEVER A DISAPPOINTMENT. ONE OF THE BEST PART IS THE FACT YOU GET TO STAND UP CLOSE(20 FT. FROM STAGE) IN THE SANDY WAVE POOL.
IT WAS GREAT! MY WIFE AND I SANG EVERY SONG WITH THE "BOYS". IT BROUGHT BACK A LOT OF MEMORIES. THE YOUNGER GUYS IN THE GROUP WERE OUTSTANDING AS WELL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SHOW TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS!
We originally went becuase my son wanted to go. I had seen the Beach Boys in late 1978 and again in 1982. I really didn't want to go because the last time I had seen them on TV, I felt they had lost some of their vocal quality. But the concert was wonderful! The new drummer and lead guitarist more than made the concert. The harmonies were all back and the notes in the upper ranges soared! I was more than just impressed. SO GLAD WE WENT. I WOULD HAVE MISSED A GREAT CONCERT!
