THE B-52S IN CONCERT:
Since forming in 1976, The B-52s have always stood out for their thrift-store chic style and ability to craft catchy, retro-inspired hits. Over the years they might have let their beehives down, but every-thing else about the band is still as tight as it was 30 years ago. Their call-and-response choruses always get fans singing along, and their fun and funky grooves will have you dancing right along with the band. The B-52s are taking their party atmosphere to select cities across the U.S. on their 2015 tour, bringing all their cool style and flamboyant fun to a town near you.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Named after a particular type of beehive hairdo, The B-52s rocketed out of Athens, Georgia in the late ’70s. Starting with their smash hit “Rock Lobster”, the band developed a reputation for campy fun and catchy melodies that carried over to other favorites like “Planet Claire” and “Private Idaho”. By the end of the decade, the band achieved a major mainstream radio breakthrough with the hits “Love Shack” and “Roam”. The band stayed relevant into the ’90s, appearing in The Flintstones live action movie (as “The BC-52’s”) and performing the theme song from the Nickelodeon cartoon Rocko’s Modern Life. Almost 40 years later, this zany garage band is still having a blast -- and still sounds like a blast from the past.
Warmup DJ was very good. Intermission videos showed the great acts of the 70s and 80s which added to the party atmosphere. The B52s were excellent. Voices, music, and visuals were great. A can't miss show.
The B-52's performance was very good. I would have arrived at 9:10 for the 8:30 advertised start time if I had known a DJ would play MTV like videos for 40 minutes. The videos were fine, but I can watch videos at home. The Venetian has a great concert hall with good stage views, two large side televisions, and excellent behind the performers video (used for the pre-show videos and to support the B-52s). "Event"parking was $30.00.
A great show, felt like I was 21 again. B-52’s didn’t miss a beat, smiled and danced the entire show.
Celebrating a 30th birthday and a daughter that has wanted to see them for about 20 years had an awesome time the B-52s did not disappoint us was more fun than I could ever imagine what a night in Vegas one to be remembered.
Absolutely LOVED this performance! The opening DJ Cummerbund was amazing and the B-52's rocked the house. The crowd was up and dancing almost the entire time. Glad I got to see these guys before they retired. :)
Wonderful venue (Venetian Theater) for a rockin’ show!! Was the main reason we visited Las Vegas and they did not disappoint! Opening with “Planet Claire” was the perfect start to hearing all our favs.

Second time to see the B52’s at the Venetian. Warm up DJ, DJ Cummerbund was great. The B52’s had everyone on their feet dancing the whole show.
So happy to see the group! The energy and enthusiasm was buzzing throughout venue.
I expected more, very short presentation, the man singer is too old and at some point he disappears for at least 3 songs. It was just one hour show.
