THE B-52S IN CONCERT:
Since forming in 1976, The B-52s have always stood out for their thrift-store chic style and ability to craft catchy, retro-inspired hits. Over the years they might have let their beehives down, but every-thing else about the band is still as tight as it was 30 years ago. Their call-and-response choruses always get fans singing along, and their fun and funky grooves will have you dancing right along with the band. The B-52s are taking their party atmosphere to select cities across the U.S. on their 2015 tour, bringing all their cool style and flamboyant fun to a town near you.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Named after a particular type of beehive hairdo, The B-52s rocketed out of Athens, Georgia in the late ’70s. Starting with their smash hit “Rock Lobster”, the band developed a reputation for campy fun and catchy melodies that carried over to other favorites like “Planet Claire” and “Private Idaho”. By the end of the decade, the band achieved a major mainstream radio breakthrough with the hits “Love Shack” and “Roam”. The band stayed relevant into the ’90s, appearing in The Flintstones live action movie (as “The BC-52’s”) and performing the theme song from the Nickelodeon cartoon Rocko’s Modern Life. Almost 40 years later, this zany garage band is still having a blast -- and still sounds like a blast from the past.

We had a blast at the DEVO and B52’s show at The Hollywood Bowl! Seats were great, music was phenomenal, and we will definitely see them again!
The venue was awesome with lots of options of food and drinks. My seat tickets were wonderful! Bands were fabulous!
This was a super fun event! 3 great bands! Lots of dancing and great music and outfits!!! So much fun!!!!
The band played wonderfully but the venue was horrible and mad everyone stand in the rain and wasn’t worried enough to open the gates because of lightning strikes. Outrageously expensive venue and not worth another visit to see a show at. Change venue now!
Very smooth process to get through the gates at the Cynthia Wood Pavilion in The Woodlands TX. Easy access to seats. Great concert by The B-52's! Enjoyed Devo as well.
After an hour delay due to lightning storm we were let in, lene lovich was cut out which disappointed me a bit but B52s and Devo rocked it out! Everyone was dancing in the aisles and the costumes and dress of the fans was awesome!, real fans of both wearing energy domes and lobster hats, it was truly a spectacle. Loved the show!, the lighting storm not so much.
Really engaging and delightful concert with Devo — I was concerned that I would no longer connect with the music, HA! The quality of both bands’ performances has improved significantly over the years. I’m sure a lot of it is just the equipment improvement in getting the sound out there - but the crowd enjoyed the show tremendously.
Always loved Lene Lovich and the B52s, thought Devo was ok but not really a fan. I am now! All 3 acts were excellent. Lene's set was too short...I could listen to her all day. Amazing pipes! Devo was a delight...you could tell they were really getting into it. The B52s were awesome, as always. I'd seen some reviews that said they looked tired, weren't hitting the notes...and I don't agree. Cindy's voice is starting to fade, I think, but she still sounds fantastic. And Kate, like Lene, is nowhere near fading! And they weren't jumping around like 20-year-olds, but there was lots of energy. So ignore any reviews that say otherwise! It was a great show!
Easily the best concert experience I’ve had in recent memory. DEVO continues to kick ass and keep the tempos high.
