There were both pros and cons to the Ally Challenge 2022 Golf Tournament + concert. Pros: - Price of admission very reasonable ($55 Sat Admission to golf, including concert admission) - Ease of purchasing ticket online - Getting in the gate was speedy - Parking was accessible, right across the road from the event ($30 per car). - The golf event itself was great. Great well-known golfers to watch so up close. There seemed to plenty of seating at certain holes and you could bring in your own camp chair. The grounds were in great shape. - The quality of the artist performing at the concert (Kane Brown!). The celebrity guests were amazing to see at the golf event (Jack Nicklaus, Jalen Rose!). Cons: - Not enough food vendors! The only food vendor I saw sold out for the day after we had already been standing in line for 20 mins! - Not enough drink vendors. Lines were very long, especially at the concert! - Not enough bathrooms at concert. - Concert stage set up was not centered and sitting in the largest section of lawn meant that you could not see the show well. In order to see the stage, you had to cram in a small lawn area. The side projection screens for viewing the concert were not large.
The show was awesome! Love Kane! The venue however, needs to come up with better organization. The VIP section only had 2 drink stations so stood in line for 45 minutes. Had to leave VIP to get food and stand in line another 45 minutes. When it was over they forced everyone out of one entrance so people were pushing trying to leave. Needs more exits as it seemed like a safety issue. Also needs better signage to show were to go and where VIP is. Prices were not bad, show was amazing. Staff members were great. Only reason for 4 stars was the exiting issues.
Hope they extend the contract for this Tournament! Great for this area . The Champions Tour are the players that made the Buick Open from years past!
All the staff were very courteous and professional. They could have posted that folding chair bags were not allowed.
It was a great concert. Was disappointed because I paid for VIP tickets that said row 3 and it was a free for all. If I knew there was no seats I would have been there early to get closer to stage. I paid for golf and they concert VIP but since I did not go to the golf I did not get the purple wrist band and was behind a gate instead of next to the stage. Kane Brown was awesome but it could have lasted longer; it was about 1 1/2 hours.
Ticket purchase process simple and easy. Performance - he always shows up. The event venue was a total mess. No one knew the different types of tickets, where to go, how to get in, what your ticket included. We askes 3 security guards, 5 different volunteers and no one could inform where we should go for VIP. We made our way down to get in, them they wanted to shift half the people elsewhere. People were so mad at this point they just went wherever and an entire vip section was left empty because the people working had no clue what was going on. Ended up being a great night, but whoever was in charge of coordinating the event messed up huge
It was great seeing the pros interacting with the amateurs. Some pros were offing teaching tips to their playing partners. Makes you realize how good the pros really are!! Getting to the course was a bit confusing as there wasn’t any info on the website about where to park on Thursday. The shuttle bus service was outstanding.
It's the first time ive used ticket master or ANY kind of scan item. It went so smoothy! I will definitely use it again. Mark Farner! What a day!
Well run! Very Professional! tournament. Great Volunteers Great Security Golfer Rob Labritz was a fan favorite signing autographs and giving out golf balls to many kids! A wonderful sporting event. Great job PGA Tour and what a Great venue at Warwick Hills. A fan friendly golf course Can’t wait to get back to Warwick Hills!!!
It would have been nice to have an option to get my money back when LBT canceled… the VIP section did not have seats. The instructions were not clear. The opening band was good, but it was a rock band opening for a country artist- did not make much sense… there was no start time given for the different acts to know what time to expect. No food options in the VIP area, long lines for drinks. Overall, not worth the money spent.
Bleachers at #17 offering a great seat to view the golfers close up, refreshments, and Cottage Inn Pizza! Who could ask for more! And admittance to the #17 bleachers were free to the public.
The Ally Challenge was awesome! Easy to get to; able to get up close with the golfers; all of the volunteers and workers were very pleasant and helpful; $2 beers were an added bonus. We look forward to next year!
I had a fantastic time at the Ally Challenge- I feel very lucky to have seen all of these amazing players- I felt like it was just for ME!! Now, as far as you guys- I think you really failed the Players- There was no one there. There was no advertising for this event in Detroit- no signage on 75 or any where in town. When the Buick open was in town- there were Billboards ALL over Detroit- downtown- up 75 in both directions. It was sad to see these greats and no one watching them. I was almost embarrassed- Of course these were people at 17- but that was it- Now you want this event for 5 more years- I hope you beef up the hype!!
For a smaller event they did a fantastic job! It was a great value with tickets getting you into the celebrity charity golf outing and the concert. It was a family friendly event where kids were free with an adult ticket. The concert was fantastic! There wasn’t a bad seat where it was held.
The police presence at this event was absolutely amazing! The fly over was quite breathtaking too. The opening acts lacked though and the entire concert was over by 845. That was a disappointment he only played for an hour.
Horrible all around...over priced sound system was horrible and headliner went on an hour earlier then stated THEN only preformed 1 hour then done. Disappointed for sure!
Golf event and Concert as well as food vendor selection was well done! Celebrity golf foursome was amazing! Bus transportation shuttling after the concert was horrific!!! Worst we ever experienced. Took over 1 1/2 hours to leave course to get back to high school parking lot!!
The 2 warm up bands were good. We were disappointed when the concert was over at 8:30pm it should have been longer. There were no trash cans and it was very hard to get to the bathrooms because there were no isles. People got angry when walking through the crowd to use the restroom.
I had seen the Burning Man tour concert 2 other times this year. This one was only about 1hr and 5 mins. Dierks and the band did a great job, but it felt short and maybe even cut off. People leaving were all commenting on the length of the show in comparison to last year. Also, the bussing leaving the event was a mess. All in all a great night, but just a few hiccups to make you aware of.
