  • Straight forward Allman Brothers!!!

by Chazman009 on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The show honored the Allman brothers and their 50 years of music in an excellent way!!! The first 5 years of music was clearly represented as the band was true to that sound as well as playing the way they did for the last 15 years they toured I have listened to the band since the beginning and have attended more than 60 shows 30 of them at the Beacon and I think the first set was perfect and Chuck Leavell definitely helped make that happen the second set was great but could have been a bit better probably just by changing the order of songs The song choice was excellent overall I think they should have added You Don’t Love Me Having said all that the show was a great closure for all the fans like me who have celebrated the band followed them their resiliency and their effort to always to put out the best music possible the way Duane Greg Barry Butch Dickey and Jaimoe originally intended Jaimoe thanked the audience and then Jaimoe Warren Derek Oteil Mark Duane Reese and Chuck nailed it and closed out the show. It is worth noting that with CV 19 around the MSG and staff did a remarkable job keeping everything wiped down and extremely friendly safe and calm

  • A PERFECT Show - Smoking hot.

    by M. N. on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This band was firing on all cylinders. Their presentation of some of the best music ever created was spectacular. The chemistry was palpable. What an incredible treat for an old Allman Brothers fan - it did my heart good. A night of goose bumps and chills provided by music that truly feeds the soul. Derek's playing was over the top and Warren's vocals were so good that the spectator never felt deprived of the usual ABB vocal fare. Butch's progeny clearly learned his lessons well, and Chuck Levell and Reese Wynans were perfect additions. It made one realize how much the Allman Brothers Band is missed. In that regard, it was a bittersweet experience, especially given that this show was a one-off. If there was a downside, it was the aurally impaired sound man who had the band up so loud in the mix in the first set that Warren's guitar solos, and occasionally his vocals, would get lost in the mix. Derek came through loud and clear throughout, sometimes too much. There was no good reason to try to rival Heavy Metal sound levels. This was not apparent in the streaming videos, but it sure was the case in the center of the orchestra while the concert was live. The sound man's audiologist must have intervened during the break because the sound was more balanced during the second set. Should it take that long to make adjustments? So happy that we got this in before the NYC Corona virus lockdown began in earnest.

  • 50th celebration

Brought my 15 year old son to experience some fabulous music. The band was really tight and Warren did a superb job on the vocals.

  • The Brothers

by JCJim on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The band was awesome. The venue and sound system were great. Ticketmaster sucks, big time. You clowns need to stop your enabling of scalpers.

by Shoedog on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Brothers played everything!! It was so exhilarating to hear them play all the classic hits with extended solos, especially by Derek & Warren. They performed a total of 25 hits in an astonishing 3 hours & 38 minutes!! It was an extraordinary evening!! This event left us with Unforgettable Memories!!

  • Sentimentally Sweet

by Johns Peach on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I enjoyed this once in a lifetime experience very much. There are no words to describe the talent on the stage. The lighting effects were spectacular. I almost cried at the end when they played Whipping Post.

  • Amazing show!! They should tour this Summer!

by Enzo B on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Warren & Derick were on point. They looked like they were having a ball playing with each other on stage. Oteil was his happy amazing self, playing great riffs and having fun. Miss Butch on drums but Duane Trucks did a great job. Mark Q play hard on percussion and definitely stepped up as the leader, driving the band hard through the jams! Reese is amazing as usual! Great to see him on stage and he played with them like he was with the band for 30 years! Definitely missed Gregg on vocals and on Hammond but Warren did an outstanding job! You really felt the passion when he sang. Finally, Chuck! He has been a Brother forever and is was great to see him at his piano jamming with the rest of them. Jaimoe, did his usual but he was instrumental in putting this all together and I want to give a big shoot out and say THANK YOU!!

  • Best Show Ever

by Edanole on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

My words will fall short. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the evening. No time to go into every detail, but both sets were amazing. Great selection of songs, excellent instrumentation, and vocals were solid throughout the night. Hats off to The Brothers!!

  • One Last Time

by MikeA1957 on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The anticipation of this musical event was somewhat diffused because of the growing concern of the Coronavirus. While most in attendance were older Americans none seem fazed by what lied ahead. The talk before the show was how everyone was thankful the show was still on and for a brief moment in time we could enjoy and rejoice the musical sounds from the Allman Brothers. This group of musicians did not disappoint. The energy was felt from the moment they stepped on stage until they walked off around 11:30pm. Every musician on stage brought their A game and the audience felt it. The jam sessions were amazing and these guys performed like there would be no tomorrow. While the first set was memorable, the second set was epic, especially when they played a 20+ minute version of Mountain Jam. The setlist was great too. The encore songs especially Midnight Rider was heartfelt as we could feel Greg Allman looking down on us. A special evening indeed. A memorable evening for a lifetime!

  • INCREDIBLE

by Ray on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Live Nation who is often criticized for their pricing policies came thru big time with an incredible production at The Brother's show on Tuesday. The Brother's were terrific and the fans knowing the risks hung in there with The Brother's for nearly 4 hours of music . Felt like a giant sized Beacon show from the old days with a few extra perks. 7th Avenue had an old time Upper West Side type March feel as fans in Brother's shirts filled the streets.

  • Awesome show. Derek killed it. We sure hope a tour results.

by Old guy from Atlanta on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Garden was great. A true Brothers crowd. A bit different than when Gregg and Butch were playing. More emphasis on the instrumentation of the classics and less emphasis on the vocals. Warren did his best Gregg Allman rendition and can definitely carry the day both singing and playing. Derek Trucks emerged as the superstar that he is with a more featured role and the confidence and chops of a guitar wizard. Gregg, Butch, Duane and Berry are smiling down regarding how the Allman tradition has been carried out. A shout out to the great rhythm section lead by Oteil and Duane Trucks. Check Leavell reminded us why he is the best rock pianist in the world. A great show. Glad my son and I travelled from Atlanta to share in this wonderful experience.

  • One Show Isn't Enough!!

by CTU on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This concert far exceeded expectations! This wasn't just a "get some guys together to fill out the line-up and get it over with" show. They brought it - with a ton of energy! Tremendous setlist selection (c'mon people, they can't play everything) and powerful from start (7:30 ish) to finish (11:30 ish). You can only hope this isn't a one and done collaboration of this group of amazingly talented musicians! The only negative was some of the sound mixing got messed up on the guitars at times. I wish they could have played all night!

  • Mind blowing

by Rob S on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Unbelievable evening of music preformed by the best band. Warren and Derrick just ripped it up.

  • Brothers concert

by Mitch on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible group of musicians assembled to play some of the best music from my college years to now. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks play off each other like they still have been touring together. Oteil is steady as a rock on the bass, and the drumming/percussion was incredible. Chuck Leavell was really good, as was the great Reese Wynans, who I just saw with Joe Bonnamassa.

  • The Brothers

by Arutman on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

What a terrific experience to hear the wonderful music of the Allman Bros once again. Brings back memories of the Beacon. We can only hope this becomes a yearly event. The band sounded great and Warren and Derek always compliment each other.

  • One word - AWESOME!

by Chip on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Played all the great songs and was close to 3 1/2 hours of heaven. Those band members no longer with us were smiling.

  • Corona free experience

by Gary on 3/13/20Madison Square Garden - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Given the state of the country I am glad that the show went on without any major issues. The show itself was a great tribute to the Allman Brothers Band with many members that have been with the Allman's for over 20 years. So far no sign that the corona virus played any part of this wonderful celebration.

  • The Brothers 50th Anniversary Tribute at Madison Square Gard

by Jersey Pete on 3/11/20Rating: 5 out of 5

The Bros were awesome. They played till 11:40 with a half hour break starting bout 8. Jaimoe seemed a little dazed at times adjusting his drums but put in as solid a performance as he could. Here’s hoping some or all could make an appearance in Macon September 24-27 for GABBAFEST 2020.
