About

The All-American Rejects wrapped up the summer of 2013 as the main support act on Blink-182's 20th Anniversary Tour, but the quartet from Stillwater, Oklahoma, is no stranger to headlining their own tours. They hit the road for the first time back in 2001 and have been delighting ticket holders ever since with their captivating, high-energy performances. Their hook-laden music has a tendency to scoop listeners up with its catchy melodies and tasteful pop arrangements. After forming in 1999, the band reached critical acclaim with their 2003 debut album, The All-American Rejects. The record went platinum and featured the single "Swing, Swing." Since then, they have stayed on the pop-chart radar with half a dozen more hit singles, including "Dirty Little Secret," "Move Along" and "Gives You Hell." Their impressive career has landed them two platinum albums, one gold album and worldwide sales of over 10 million records.

Speaking of worldwide, The All-American Rejects' romp across the international stage recently found them in Malaysia, gracing the stage in concert in Kuala Lumpur with fellow rockers The Wanted and Five For Fighting. The band's tremendous climb up from humble middle-American roots rings poignant with music lovers, and their fan base continues to grow with their success. They engage fans on YouTube and Twitter with their down-to-earth, boy-down-the-block, easygoing attitudes. Not to be blinded by technology, they keep their collective thumb on the pulse of the past. Lead singer Tyson Ritter admits to being a "total vinyl kid" and collecting records from Miles Davis and ELO. The singer also recently released a solo song, entitled "Air," in an attempt to tide fans over until the next album.

I have been to many concerts, but this was the absolute best concert I have ever been to. Not only is Tyson a great singer, he is a great entertainer as well. Awesome!

    So so event.

    by Chris4488 on 11/6/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

Don't get me wrong. I love all of these bands. That is why I went. But the audio was horrible for all the bands. The bass was so unbelievably high that you could not hear any vocals. These are not bass heavy bands. The audio people never got it right. And what the hell was up with the main singer of the All American Rejects. He was wearing pink denim pants, no shirt, and parading around like Mick Jagger. He is not Mick Jagger. And the type of music they perform is not the Rolling Stones.

    Among the best.

    by EDMC5187 on 11/6/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

I have been a general fan of The All-American Rejects, Taking Back Sunday, and Anberlin for some time, but this concert took my feelings for each band to a whole new level. Anberlin was awesome and full of energy while Taking Back Sunday really didn't change my opinion on them too much. AAR, however, rocked the rafters off the WVU coliseum. AAR performed on a personal level with the crowd. Tyson actually singled out some fans and made them a part of the show. And the entire band's on-stage antics and humorous banter stole the show and made it truely amazing.

Really great concert! I had never really listened to the first band, but taking back sunday was good and the all american rejects were fantastic! I really enjoyed myself, and they really knew how to get the crowd excited. Would definately recommend going =)

    Taking Back Sunday was amazing!!!

by Aadkins on 11/6/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

Taking Back Sunday was a great show. I have listened to their music forever but had never seen them live. They had a great setlist, including older songs like My Blue Heaven and MakeDamnSure. Adam is an amazing front man! However, I was not as impressed with the All-American Rejects. Please do not let your daughters under 16 go to this show. The singer was very vulgar, asking girls to flash him and cursing non-stop, even after he acknowledges that a man had his very young daughter on his shoulders.

Anberlin was a great opening act. TBS rocked but with the sound system being bad, couldn't understand much of their stuff. The Rejects were insane, doing each of their hits justice and giving a memorable performance. I'd much rather see these acts somewhere other than the WVU Coliseum.

    TBS > AAR for sure

by Briezyy on 11/5/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

I only caught the end of Anberlin, but they sounded pretty good. TBS just completely rocked. Good show, good stage presence, good music. AAR, well I'll never see them again. He was extremely rude to WVU fans about being Mountaineers, and he did all this interpretive dancing. It was really weird and I left about halfway through. Sad thing is, he sounded pretty decent. AAR is the only reason I didn't rate the concert 5 stars.

    AAR are always awesome live

by Anonymous on 11/5/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

All American Rejects always put on a great show and never let down their fans. I could see them over and over and never get tired of them. Taking Back Sunday was really good as well. Anberlin was a new group for me to hear, but I plan on downloading a lot of their music because they know how to make some good music. Overall, I love All American Rejects and they never let me down.

    It was all definitely amazing.

by Russia on 11/5/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

There wasn't a second during the whole concert that I wasn't pleased. Anberlin was good, Taking Back Sunday put on one of the best shows i've ever seen them do, and The All American Rejects, though I've never seen them before, I definitely want too again.

The show was absolutely amazing. We had pit tickets so we were up in the action. The crowd got a little too wild at times but overall it was the best concert I have ever been to.

    Completely amazing!!

by AARfreak on 11/5/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

This was by far the best concert I have ever been to. AAR had amazing stage presence and made the night unforgettable! Tyson looked amazing, and they sounded even better live than on their records. It was almost half comedy and half amazing music. Definitely worth going to see.

    It was fun

by highxflyer on 11/5/09WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

The bands were great. They were very interactive with the crowd and they got everyone interested. The only bad thing was the sound. Taking Back Sunday had the best sound, Anberlin and AAR had iffy sounding sets. It was too loud you couldn't hear much other than sound.
