About

The All-American Rejects wrapped up the summer of 2013 as the main support act on Blink-182's 20th Anniversary Tour, but the quartet from Stillwater, Oklahoma, is no stranger to headlining their own tours. They hit the road for the first time back in 2001 and have been delighting ticket holders ever since with their captivating, high-energy performances. Their hook-laden music has a tendency to scoop listeners up with its catchy melodies and tasteful pop arrangements. After forming in 1999, the band reached critical acclaim with their 2003 debut album, The All-American Rejects. The record went platinum and featured the single "Swing, Swing." Since then, they have stayed on the pop-chart radar with half a dozen more hit singles, including "Dirty Little Secret," "Move Along" and "Gives You Hell." Their impressive career has landed them two platinum albums, one gold album and worldwide sales of over 10 million records.

Speaking of worldwide, The All-American Rejects' romp across the international stage recently found them in Malaysia, gracing the stage in concert in Kuala Lumpur with fellow rockers The Wanted and Five For Fighting. The band's tremendous climb up from humble middle-American roots rings poignant with music lovers, and their fan base continues to grow with their success. They engage fans on YouTube and Twitter with their down-to-earth, boy-down-the-block, easygoing attitudes. Not to be blinded by technology, they keep their collective thumb on the pulse of the past. Lead singer Tyson Ritter admits to being a "total vinyl kid" and collecting records from Miles Davis and ELO. The singer also recently released a solo song, entitled "Air," in an attempt to tide fans over until the next album.

Good but could of been great

by Csreyes on 10/10/23Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - Phoenix

I would say overall show was good but could have been great. We got the vip before show but were told no personal pictures or autographs. It was only two acoustic songs and 4 questions asked for q&a part. That would have been great to know ahead of time. Then the side stage contest they pick everyone that goes dressed but it’s kinda of lane that you lose your spot in pit if you go up stage for first three songs. I personally didn’t think it was worth it. As far as line up I thought The Get up Kids were good for a band I did not know prior to attending the show. Motion City Sound Track was great I was surprised they weren’t on second to last, really enjoyed their set. New Found Glory in my opinion was boring and made the show feel like it dragged on. That’s just my opinion on them from the show I saw. American Rejects were great.

Headliner was good but sound was off for the openers

by Samiisunshine on 10/10/23Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - Phoenix

American rejects were awesome but all the bands before sound was definitely off!!!! It didn’t sound great and honestly made me sad because I spent a lot of money to be there. Work on your EQ before going live in the future!!!

    Something was wrong

by Cassie on 10/10/23Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre - Phoenix

We loved The Get Up Kids, Motion City Soundtrack, and of course New Found Glory! But we left after 2 songs with All-American Rejects. I hated to do it, but Tyson was ruining my favorite songs. I think he was on something? Or something was wrong. Because we've seen AAR before and this was totally different. He was frantic, shaky, off pitch, and off tune. He had a wild look in his eyes. It was extremely disappointing. I listened to the recorded versions of Swing, Swing and My Paper Heart on the way home just to get the "taste"out of my ears. I hope he's okay.

    The perfect nostalgia

by Frank on 10/9/23Petco Park - San Diego

It was a really fun show. The only thing I didn’t like was that the mic was very low so you couldn’t really hear him sing. But overall the energy was great and they were super nice before and after the show. They have a lot of energy and played for a solid amount of time.

    Wow

by PA on 10/6/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

I couldn't believe the energy all the bands, including All American Rejects were able to put out to the crowd. It was an amazing experience, even just hearing about their concert excited me. Not many performers have the guts to enter the crowd, but I think people get weary to touch because they want to enjoy the whole show, and not get kicked out because they touched their favorite singer. They performed all of their hits, and my energy was up there with theirs enjoying the show!

    Night of Nostalgia

by sharaibravo on 10/6/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Loved the venue and the performances! My cousin and partner especially loved Motion City Soundtrack. I loved seeing All American Rejects perform Move Along. The YouTube Theater is well structured for this kind of event. The seats are comfortable (there’s cup holders) and the sound is well done. We had earplugs in and still heard everything perfectly!
