  • Best tour ever!

by taperjeangirl7 on 10/1/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I loved this tour. All the bands that played were great. I was kind of disappointed that one of the bands didn't play because they weren't there though :-/

  • The Academy Is...Always sounds great

by TTL3232 on 9/30/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I've seen The Academy Is... before and was surprised how well William's voice sounds live. (Not all singers do...). He didn't disappoint this time. I wish the set was longer, but understand that the majority of the audience was teenagers and their parents out on a school night so... And I'm now a new fan of Mayday Parade who also played a good set.

  • UNFORGETTABLE

    by 4lyfeyo on 9/30/09Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Best concert ever, hands down. Every Avenue came in place of You Me at Six and killed it! Mayday Parade doesn't need Jason Lancaster to be amazing! They sang Miserable at Best and still rocked it! Make sure to hang around after the show, because all the bands come and hang out.

  • The most memorable night of the year

by Nikkiii on 9/29/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This concert with You Me At Six, Mayday Parade, The Academy Is . . . , and The Secret Handshake was the best one I've ever been to! The combination of the bands was such a GOOD one! The genre of the bands also complimented each other so well. Theres just nothing bad i can say about this concert. The House of Blues is also a great location for the bands to play.

  • The Academy Is... rocked the House!

by simplybecks on 9/29/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Once again The House of Blues had amazing performers. My third and most amazing time seeing The Academy Is... I have have never heard any of the opening bands before but now I love them all. They even did a signing before the show and Mayday Parade was hanging outside after the show.

  • Outstanding!!

by groupiegal on 9/29/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Mayday Parade and they were VERY good. They were great performers and had great music. I've seen the academy is before many times and their shows are NEVER a let down. Their music is amazing to hear live. They really have a connection with the crowd and you can tell they love what they do. Best of luck to both bands because they deserve every bit of success!!

  • AP Tour

by irishize on 9/29/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

I took my daughter and her friend to this show not expecting alot as I only knew a few songs that I have heard endlessly played in my home. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the music and recognized far more songs than I thought I would. I really liked the House of Blues, which I have never been to before last night. The security staff was visible, effective and not too intrusive. With all the teenagers at the show, they really handled them well. Kudos to the security staff!

  • The Academy Is... & Mayday Parade...fantastic!

by Anywherebuthere on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

I went into this show a bit skeptical of the opening bands (Set Your Goals, You Me at Six and The Secret Handshake) but absolutely stoked to see The Academy Is... and Mayday Parade. Set Your Goals didn't play, but I was so impressed with You Me at Six and The Secret Handshake that I bought their cds at the show. Mayday Parade astounded me. So many bands are horrid live but they definitely lived up to the sounds on their cds. The Academy Is... never fail to disappoint, even on the 6th show (yes, I am a bit obsessed). All in all, this show was amazing and completely worth the measly $15 ticket price.

  • Show was not the same

by GirLMyke on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 2 out of 5

I bought tickets to this tour specifically to see Set Your Goals. Two days before the show the band cancelled because a member was ill. I wish the band well but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I tried selling my tickets but no one would buy them so I went anyways. I'm not really into the other bands but I gave them a shot. Mayday Parade was the only band that I thought was decent. When I go to shows I usually like to mosh and get crazy but no one was really doing that. It was packed with young high school kids that we're barely moving.

  • THE FALL BALL=BEST LINE-UP OF THE YEAR!

    by vasak on 9/27/09Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

You Me At Six was a great start to the show! Their songs weren't well known, but they grew on me. The Secret Handshake brought the party to the floor. Everyone was jumping up and down like crazy! Every Avenue is always a favorite in Michigan, since this is their home state. They were really fun to see. THE ACADEMY IS... was amazing! It was great to see them play, and I loved every moment of it. The crowd was settled down and we all could just enjoy William's voice. Mayday Parade was another great band to see. I was so excited to hear 'Miserable At Best.'

  • Awesome Saturday night at Newport

    by OSU2013 on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

This was an amazing show and I would recommend all of these bands to anyone. They are all great performers with great talent. There was a pretty good crowd, basically a full house!

  • The Secret Handshake was amazing!

by Abbeypickles on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

I honestly only went to see TSH but the whole show was amazing. The venue was packed, the bands were full of energy and they all definitely put on a great show! I definitely got my moneys worth and more!

  • Mayday was Great

by Yukidaruma on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great. All the bands put on a really good show, especially mayday parade and the academy is... were awesome. my only complaint was the crowd. people weren't getting into the music so much, so it kinda killed it a bit for me. but that's all though.

  • The Academy Is... amazing!

by erikalisting on 9/27/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Without a doubt the best concert I've been to all year!

  • Mayday Parade fans have to be the rudest people.

    by sunshine19 on 9/27/09Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 2 out of 5

Upon going to the show I expected to have to deal with some crazy scene kids but the fans in the crowd were absolutely atrocious. All the pushing and shoving and negativity definitely brought me down from my usual concert high. Also The Academy Is... should have headlined the tour, they have more work to account for and play and have been in the game longer. Overall, it was mostly a disappointment.

  • Mayday Parade was amazing!!!

    by MUSICisL0VE on 9/26/09Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 5 out of 5

All of the bands put on good sets. The crowd got a little pushy through out most of it which surprised me a little because I wouldn't expect that for those bands, but Mayday Parade was definately better. For one, some people who only came for The Academy Is... left and there was more space and also they are just so awesome that it totally made my night.
