    Say Anything & Motion

    by DaphneC92 on 1/31/11Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

It was by far one of the most energetic and exciting concerts I have ever been too. I would definitely go again if they performed anywhere in the area.

    Definately worth seeing!

by ImTheHeroOfThisStory on 11/30/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

This was my first time seeing both bands. Neither one disappointed. They were amazing. MCS was everything and more that I imagined them to be live. Justin's voice was incredible and the guys didn't miss a beat on performance. Say Anything had so much energy and kept the crowd going insane. Max Bemis is a beast! Seeing them live made me an even bigger fan of their music. I'm glad I got to witness the awesomeness of these bands, even more so together on the same tour. I'll definately keep going back whenever they come to town. if you haven't seen either of these bands live, I'd suggest you buy a ticket and get your ass to a show! :)

More than worth the price of the ticket!

by sleisson on 11/29/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

This show consisted of four acts--A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Saves Us, Say Anything and Motion City Soundtrack. I enjoyed ALL fours bands, they were amazing and did more to entertain the audience than most headliners! I felt like it was a steal of a deal for these tickets for the experience of all the shows given to us that night!

    Great bands, Great venue

by Sheptorious on 11/17/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Saves The Day, Say Anything, and Motion City Soundtrack are all talented bands individually, but they mesh together so well that it becomes an unforgettable performance. All three classic bands played a wide variety of their music ranging from their first album's hits to their newest hits-to-be. They all kept the crowd engaged throughout the event and had the whole crowd rocking out and singing along multiple times. I also loved the venue. The general admission Variety Playhouse has a spacious area for front row rockers while simultaneously affords plenty of room for the fans who aren't in the mood to mosh with ample seating as well as raised platforms to stand on so that even the short kids (like myself) have a great view of the band and get the full effect of the show. I would see these bands and/or attend an event at the Variety Playhouse again without hesitation! I don't want to leave out the fact that the opening band, a Great Big Pile of Leaves, is on their first tour and did a great job getting everyone amped for the show!

    Max Bemis rocked my world

by mocsclarinet on 11/16/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

A Great Big Pile of Leaves was a pretty great band. They had a great rock beat and a warm sound. They're a new band that everyone should definitely check out. I'd never heard Saves the Day before that night and I am not convinced. The music was ok but the lead singer's voice was too high and whiny. The lyrics were weak as well and a lot of the songs sounded similar. Say Anything was the best band there (and also the best band EVER). Max Bemis has such a great stage prescence. The whole band put on an amazing show and I plan to see them again as soon as they're close to my town again. I didn't stay for Motion City Soundtrack because I really don't care for them much and I wanted to beat the traffic.

Say Anything brought the house down!

by CiaranOfEire on 11/16/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

When we arrived at the event we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the band Saves The Day would also be playing, they opened the show and although I was unfamiliar with them they were great and I really enjoyed their performance. At one point during Say Anything's performance some of the members of Saves The Day came out and played with Say Anything, they played some of the music from their super group Two Tongues which was a treat. Say anything was super awesome and so energetic and spirited, it was impossible not to enjoy such a great performance. They even played some of their music from their first album, which almost never happens so it was a treat. We didn't stay to see Motion City Soundtrack, though I'm sure they put on a great show. Rather we took the opportunity to talk to some of the members of Say Anything, and they were all so great and just very nice people. It was the cherry on top of the evening. It was really nice of those guys to take the time to talk to us for a few minutes, it's not very characteristic of bands to do so and just goes to show what awesome people they are and why they have such a devoted following. I fully recommend this show to anyone who loves a high energy, and genuine performance!

    BEST TOUR EVER!

by NNewport on 11/16/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

This was simply the best show I've ever seen. The atmosphere and energy at the show was just unforgettable. I couldn't ask for a better group of guys to be on tour with each other. You could tell everyone was having the time of their lives playing and being out on tour together. Every single band took a moment during their sets to just stop and thank all the fans and to say that they loved being on the tour. Max even stated that it was the best tour Say Anything has ever been on. At one point in Say Anything's set, Chris (of Saves the Day) came out on stage and Max announced that they figured since they were touring together, they'd go ahead and play a Two Tongues song for the fans. The did the song together and it was just perfect. Then after the song was finished, Max and Chris hugged each other before Chris went backstage. The entire crowd was pretty much screaming for an encore from Say Anything, but we didn't get one. Max came back onstage and mouthed "We don't have time for one more song. I'm sorry..." I was really hoping to hear "Admit It" because that's usually the song they play for an encore... Maybe next time. Motion City Soundtrack closed the show. I'd heard that Justin lost his voice earlier on the tour and had guest vocalists filling in. I was pretty excited to hear other guys like Chris and Max singing MCS songs, but I didn't get to hear that either. That was fine with me as Justin's voice was back in full force. They put on a monster of a show. I was floored.

    Say Anything stole the show!

by tehcatboi on 11/16/10Variety Playhouse - Atlanta

Although I like Saves The Day, and Motion City Soundtrack is talented, Say Anything had such great energy. Their set list was awesome, with with a mix of old, new, very old, and something different (Two Tounges). The only downside was MCS performed last so Say Anything couldn't do any encores.
