A mash of 3 episodes with slight creative liberties
We were underwhelmed with this performance. The highlight was the voice of Dorothy. It was spot on and very funny. The volume of the voices, in particular, Sophia, was deafening. I had to plug my ears throughout the event, as it brought on a headache. We were surprised it only lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. There definitely were some funny parts here and there, especially for those that know the show, but honestly, would not recommend.
they were awesome, the episode they picked was perfect and the guy doing bea arthur just rocked it
I was never a big Golden Girls fan, but my wife is. I was laughing all night as it was not as I expected. Wonderfully different experience with a mix of current themes and some nostalgia. Recommend you go see it!
This show was an evening of great entertainment. I wasn't sure at first if I would enjoy the show since you could see the puppeteers---but let me tell you----they took their roles very seriously. Their mannerisms and actions were parallel to the character they were portraying. It really was a great show!
The show was ok, I wouldn’t recommend someone break their back to get there. Dorothy was definitely the best character, hands down!
My wife and I saw the show it was funny charming and true to the show and they do it in the style of avenue q for all the avenue q fans 😁
I was lucky enough to not have people sit in our row and be able to stretch out our legs. The overall show was an intimate setting and the vibe was pleasant with people of all ages and in good spirits. I enjoyed the performers were also in character. It began slow and the jokes were okay but when “Dorothy” came out, it changed the entire performance. Whomever the actor is, he is delightful and his mannerisms were spot on to Bea Author. His voice was incredible and I found myself watching him more than the puppet. I don’t know if his mic was lower than the rest or his voice is softer but it was hard to hear “Dorothy” at times. The retro commercial breaks are genius and you could hear everyone singing along. I did not want to show to the end. Maybe an intermission of more time to enjoy the atmosphere. My only negative review was the loud intoxicated people next to me that were upset about their drinks. At one point it was quiet and this woman’s voice was clear as day as she talked with other patrons.
The show was absolutely amazing. I loved how they interjected lines from the Golden Girls but had their own story line. I would definitely see the show again.
Venue was excellent and had the best time at the show!!!
Such a fun show! Lots of laughs!!! Several episodes’ concepts mashed into one fun filled show - and I loved the commercial breaks!!!
Took my Mom and my Aunt's to the show and had a blast. Great performance and and good times. We all haven't had a laugh like that in a long time.
Wonderful recreation of 3 episodes of the Golden Girls, tweaked just a little for a more adult audience (gave the show a little edge for the best). The cast was dead on with the voices and speech inflections of the ladies. Definitely recommended if you enjoyed the original show!
The show was excellent! They managed to capture the spirit of the Golden Girls exceptionally well. Very funny show. Would highly recommend
Enjoyed the Hallohan Theatre and the beautiful atmosphere and the show as a whole. Loved the show and entertainment.
Never a dull moment! This play flowed nicely and was extremely entertaining. The puppeteers brought the puppets to life. Would definitely see it again
Hilarious show. The writing and dialogue was excellent. The puppets funny, and the puppeteers were amazing in how they captured the spirit, voices, and actions of the characters. My wife is a Golden Girls fan and she absolutely loved it. I have never seen an episode, and I thought it was great.
