BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Harlem-born Teyana Taylor grew up performing in talent competitions and got her first taste of the national spotlight in 2007 when her 16th birthday party was featured on the popular MTV show My Super Sweet Sixteen. That same year she signed with Pharell Williams' Star Trek Entertainment label, and the following year she released "Google Me", the lead single from her debut mixtape From a Planet Called Harlem. The song was a moderate success on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, leading to several acting gigs and an appearance on Kanye West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. After amicably parting ways with Pharrell in 2012 and dropping an independently released mixtape, Taylor signed to West's GOOD Music imprint and began work on her debut full-length. The result, 2014's VII, was a certified hit, topping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and cracking the mainstream Top 20 thanks to popular singles like "Maybe" and "Do Not Disturb". Since then Teyana has proven herself an incredible performer, slaying fans with stellar performances that have them eager for her Unplugged 2016 Tour.

My only complaint is that the sound was off. The mic kept screeching and The mics of the performers werent up loud enough. Not sure if it was the venues equipment or the responsibility of whoever does the sound check but it was bad.

It kind of sucked that they did not communicate about the time for door opening being pushed back, however, once that was taken care of everything went smoothly & on time. I had a blast & the venue was really nice. There wasn’t much leg room though & the seats are pretty small so if you plan to sit majority of any show be prepared for that.

Otherwise the process was great, I always had access to my tickets, showtimes, extra info & it was all accurate.

She is a manifestation of excellence… maternally and otherwise. I want to see her again and again. Maybe on broadway! Shoot for the Universe baby girl. It’s yours.

by Tymia Danielle on 8/28/22The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlottealthough production kept having technical difficulties, Teyana gave us a PERFORMANCE!!! she did what needed to be done and created an experience worth attending! The energy was a 10, the selections were a 10, even the opening artist was really good! The only thing I didn’t like was being outside in line at 3pm for VIP (2 hours early, 5 hours before showtime) and still not being first in the venue. They allowed people with meet & greet passes in the venue first even though the meet & greet wasn’t until AFTER the show… regardless of them showing up at 5, they were still let in first.

by B on 8/26/22The Fillmore Charlotte - CharlotteTeyana was everything. The problem wasn’t her she tried. The venue though, staff was extra the whole time. A lot of distractions going on during the concert. They kept trying to make us squeeze together stay out of certain ranges when it’s standing room only and at the end of the day we not bothering anyone. Also no screens available with it mainly being standing room only, you couldn’t see her unless she stood at the top which was annoying. The sound was sooo messed up! Honestly just disappointed with the venue would not return to this location.
