BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Harlem-born Teyana Taylor grew up performing in talent competitions and got her first taste of the national spotlight in 2007 when her 16th birthday party was featured on the popular MTV show My Super Sweet Sixteen. That same year she signed with Pharell Williams' Star Trek Entertainment label, and the following year she released "Google Me", the lead single from her debut mixtape From a Planet Called Harlem. The song was a moderate success on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, leading to several acting gigs and an appearance on Kanye West's 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. After amicably parting ways with Pharrell in 2012 and dropping an independently released mixtape, Taylor signed to West's GOOD Music imprint and began work on her debut full-length. The result, 2014's VII, was a certified hit, topping the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and cracking the mainstream Top 20 thanks to popular singles like "Maybe" and "Do Not Disturb". Since then Teyana has proven herself an incredible performer, slaying fans with stellar performances that have them eager for her Unplugged 2016 Tour.
Besides all the standing I did the show was awesome! Teyana sounded great. She had so much energy. Her backup dancers were beautiful and dance their behinds off. It was worth the price and would have paid more for such a great show! Was
I bought tickets to the show as a graduation gift for one of my friends, because she's a huge Teyana Taylor fan. Although I bought her the tickets she could have taken anyone, but chose to bring me. I know who Teyana Taylor is, but not familiar with her music. For my first time attending her show, it was really good. I enjoyed her singing, dancing, and connection with the audience.
One of the best nights of my life!!!! Teyana Taylor is such an amazing artist. She very personal and upclose with her fans, she performed all of her songs and gave a taste of the new and her mixtape. I will never forget it!!! I

Normally, I don't like concerts because I don't like big crowds, but Teyana Taylor did her thing and rocked the show!!

The concert was cool. Teyana is definitely an entertainer. The opening act was boring.
She put on such an amazing show. The last time she came to chicago I bought tickets but I couldn't make it, but nothing was stopping me this time. She's such a great entertainer. She performed the whole VII album while channeling her inner Janet Jackson and killing it. I will never miss a show from her
Great dancing Choreography outfits everything. She sounds amazing live exactly like the CD. Definitely an underrated artist. She connected with the audience and her daughter is beautiful. Totally worth it!! She made 3 new fans for real!!
It was amazing to see someone who's hard work paid off. Great vocals, wardrobe and choreography. Appreciated the entire show. My only critique was the sound at times was overbearing and hard to hear the vocals at times but overall a great show.
This was such a great show!! Teyana was awesome and so real and down to earth. Unfortunately didn't get there on time so wasn't as close to see all the dancing but still overall one of my best concerts yet. Wish this show was longer.
The show didn't start one hour after the doors opened which is typical. The opening acts didn't even perform until after 9pm. They weren't really good either. The last one was a rapper who didn't even address the crowd. The music was so load you couldn't make out anything he was saying. The crowd booed him unfortunately. Teyana didn't come out until after 10pm. Her sound was messed up as well on a few songs.
The only reason why I give this a 4 star rating is because the doors opened at 7 and on the ticket it said show starts at 8 with no mention of random artist, but random artists performed and Teyana did not get on the stage until 10pm. Teyana sounded amazing and danced awesome as well!
Teyana was an opener for Migos in Cincinnati in December 2014. She came out hot, looking like Janet and Aaliyah. She put on such an amazing show, she didn't slow down for a moment. She kept the crowd involved and bought females on the stage and then a group of males, who she sang and danced for. It was great, I loved her performance. My husband drove another performer to the airport in the morning and met her before he left, he said she was the sweetest girl. I was jealous.
