Nothing more intense than TX High School Footlball

    by JA9797 on 12/22/15NRG Stadium - Houston

The ticket was for the day, which covered three games. Incredible bargain with open seating so that we could move around for the best view. The game we attended was a total thriller that was decided in overtime. The excitement in the stadium was palpable and we enjoyed every minute of it. Those kids play for pure love of the game and leave it all on that field. Never see that in the NFL. The only problem we encountered was parking. There was plenty of room to park, but there was no traffic control to expedite entrance of upcoming game fans while those of prior game were leaving. Surprising really. They usually do a much better job with that at NRG.

2015 UIL Football State Championship Games

    by CB004 on 12/22/15NRG Stadium - Houston

My first time attending state football playoffs. I enjoyed it since it was in Houston, TX. Good quality high school football games. We had good seats and I could see all the plays without binoculars like I thought I would need! Food a little expensive for quality at NRG...however, the Argyle team provided a nice tailgate meal in front of NRG stadium which we enjoyed!!!!

    Great Experience

    by bopper54 on 12/22/15NRG Stadium - Houston

Attended all games Friday and Saturday and both days were a great experience. The venue was fantastic - much better than the Dallas experience of two years ago. nrg Stadium is east to access and has a friendly atmosphere. Food prices are high, but in line with similar venues. Restrooms are kept clean throughout the day - a nice convenience. Overall just a great experience, and I plan to attend next year if it is still at the same venue.

    Great Seats and Great Stadium

by MrTBoneafide on 12/22/15NRG Stadium - Houston

Considering that all seats were general admission, I was worried that I might not have a very good view for the Katy v Lake Travis game. However, I ended up only 4 rows from the bottom on the 45 yard line. These seats were perfect! The stadium did a good job of maintaining security and ensuring that there were no major incidents. My daughter and I had a great time!

    Games were run aways

by KenCC on 12/21/15NRG Stadium - Houston

There needs to be changes made with the format of this program. First of all, having 4 games on the first day is ridiculous unless you start the first game at 8 AM. All of these first day games ran late and by the last game they were almost 2 hours behind. Secondly, I would recommend starting day 2 and 3 at 10 AM instead of 12 AM. This allows everyone to be gone by 9:30 to 10:00 PM rather than 11 to 12 PM. It just takes 4 hours for each game and ceremony so this makes logical sense. Also, I was not impressed with NRG Stadium. Should go back to AT&T next year as Houston has proven it can not compete attendance wise with Dallas.
