  • Disappointed in concert

by Pazd on 5/9/16Carolina Theatre - DurhamRating: 2 out of 5

Terence Blanchard and his group members are excellent musicians but the show was boring. No interaction with the audience. It's like they didn't care we were there. We left early. Just couldn't take any more. Very disappointing.

He puts on an amazing show. I've seen him three times. I try to catch him whenever I'm anywhere near where he is performing! What a treat.

It was a smooth concentrated performance, that ended far too quickly.

  • Terence Blanchard at the Grammy Museum on 8/27/09

This was a fabulous evening highlighted by a brilliant artist. After an extended interview in which we all got to hear a warm, intelligent, funny and creative mind at work, discussing music and the way the world around him shapes his music, we heard an absolutely captivating set of incomparable performances. The venue of the Grammy Museum is small and intimate, providin for a most memorable evening. It makes me want to join the Museum to have more evenings like this one!

This show was absolutley great. Others have played a short set in this format, but Blanchard was absolutely remarkable; he and his ensemble of young talents turned the place out ... in a way that only a good New Orleans band can!
