About

In 2012, award-winning contemporary Christian band Tenth Avenue North released their third studio album, "The Struggle," which made an impressive impact by debuting in the top spots of Billboard's Christian and Rock charts. "Losing," the band's lead single from the new album, has gained attention because of its relatable theme. Inspired by a fan that had trouble forgiving others, the tune is a gentle reminder that forgiveness is cleansing and beneficial for everyone involved. The band is known for live shows that are engaging, memorable and filled with opportunities for audience participation. Showing a clear confidence in the strong sound of their live act, the band chose to use recordings from their concerts on the latest album to let people experience the energy of a live set at home. They'll be playing on the Winter Jam tour with other notable Christian acts through the end of March 2014 and offering reasonable ticket prices to attract new and old fans alike.

The band got its start while the six members were in college in West Palm Beach, FL. Besides using their musical gifts to embark on a promising career path, the artists have also partnered with Compassion International, a children's charity. In 2008, the band's song, "Love Is Here," was one of the most played songs on Christian Hit Radio, and since that time, they've won two Dove Awards and been nominated numerous times in several categories. Although they've built a reputation for being Christian artists, the band members of Tenth Avenue North offer hopeful lyrics and exciting concerts that are universally appealing, regardless of a person's religious background.

Although the acoustics at Mars Hill was lacking the message of the music and artists was not. Chris August, Addison Road, and TenthAve.No. were awesome as they shared their lives and songs with us, making me feel more connected not only to them but their message in the music.

Tenth Avenue North was absolutely amazing!

by Rachelk0626 on 10/24/10MARS HILL CHURCH - SEATTLE

This was my first Christian concert that I've ever attended, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. But the overall experience was far greater than anything I ever could of apprehended. They are wonderful musicians and sounded incredible live as they do on their CDs. I laughed, cryed, prayed, sang...it was amazing!

10th Ave North is a must -see/must-hear band!

My husband, I and our 14 year old son and two of his buddies went to see 10th Ave North and we all totally loved the show. The boys were saying,"That was so tight and I would so go see them again." We loved their music, their honesty and their humor. They made the Gospel and sharing it relevant, real and attainable.

    Tenth Ave North in Seattle

by dfkwan on 10/24/10MARS HILL CHURCH - SEATTLE

Awesome concert. Awesome time of worship. I was so blessed not just by their incredible gifts for worship leading, but also their gifts of exhortation through scripture... almost more blessed by the times of exhortation by scripture interspersed throughout song, than the actual music component... I was really blessed by the time...

Tenth Ave. North is dead on!

by Godsgirl252 on 10/24/10MARS HILL CHURCH - SEATTLE

I love the music, the word, and Tenth Ave. Norths way of putting the truth out there "dead on." I don't like the fact of standing for 3 1/2 hours. Many have bad backs and legs. Bass was set too high.. I don't think that I would go to another concert there. Still love them though. We would see them at any other venue I know.

TENTH AVENUE NORTH is the BEST CONCERT EVER!

by KatGirl77 on 10/24/10MARS HILL CHURCH - SEATTLE

I was in LOVE with Tenth Avenue North before...And now that I have actually seen their concert, I would go over and over again! They are the most humble and amazingly blessed group ever! It felt like a worship session, not just them singing to us, but WITH us. UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING.

    Tenth Avenue North was AMAZING!

by Jess2222 on 10/24/10MARS HILL CHURCH - SEATTLE

What an awesome concert and worship experience. They had great openers! My husband and I had fun rocking out, singing, listening to, and worshiping along with the huge crowd and Tenth Avenue North. They did a great encore too! The lead singer was funny as well and lightened up the serious moments mood while letting it be what it was still.

All the groups were amazing! The only reason I gave it 4 stars it because there were NO chairs!!! I wish that it would have been advertised before hand that it was a standing concert! After standing in line for 1 hour to get good seats (because it was General Admission) then we stood for another hour before the concert started. During Chris August and Adision Rd it was fine, but once Tenth aVenue north called for an intermission to check out the Compassion booth we were all crammed into the space. It might have been an awesome experience for the young fans but for me (middle aged) it was a long and hard night standing!

The bands were great. The music was wonderful. The songs inspiring. But there was no mention ANYWHERE that it was a standing only concert. I am older and stood for 3 1/2 hours with people even older than me and it was not easy, nor was it fun. I rarely saw any of the people on the stage. Younger, rowdier, taller people squeezed their way in front of us just as 10th Ave began to play. That's fine if you don't want to offer seats at your venue, BUT IT NEEDS TO BE CLEARLY ADVERTISED! I will NEVER attend a concert at Mars Hill Church again! We had to leave early because it was hot, I'm not used to standing that long and I got light-headed. Besides the fact that I appreciate my space and did not appreciate getting constantly "bumped" by everyone around me because we were squished together like sardines.
