Tennessee Lady Volunteers Women’s Basketball History
The University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers, or “Lady Vols,” hold one of the greatest legacies in women’s college basketball, winning eight NCAA titles and appearing in every Women’s March Madness tournament since its inception in 1982. Naismith Coach of the Century Pat Summitt led the Lady Vols from 1974 to 2012 and won multiple championships in each of her three decades with the team. Summitt never posted a losing season record and retired with a then-record 1,098 career wins. The program counts Candace Parker, Tamika Catchings, Kara Lawson and Chamique Holdsclaw among its distinguished alumni. Under current head coach Kellie Harper, the Lady Vols have earned back-to-back Sweet Sixteen appearances in 2022 and 2023.

Tennessee Lady Volunteers at Thompson-Boling Arena
The Volunteers play home games at Thompson-Boling Arena, located on the university’s campus in Knoxville, Tennessee and it holds 21,678 people. The men’s and women’s basketball teams have played in the arena since its opening in 1987. Thompson-Boling Arena takes its name from B. Ray Thompson, who donated $5 million for the arena’s construction in 1982, and former university president Edward J. Boling. The basketball court is named "The Summitt," after Pat Summitt, the legendary coach of the women’s basketball program.

It’s always fun to see a game at Thompson-Boling Arena! This was a great game between the Lady Vols and Florida. Wonderful venue, wonderful people, and always a good time!
Ticketmaster provides an overall poor purchasing experience. Not selling 200 level seating any more. Abusive music and screaming cheer leader.
Took family to Lady Vols basketball From 5 years old to 65 everyone had a great time.
Great venue .the game not so much.lady vols lost and looked bad losing by 20.hopefully they will improve.im not planning to purchase any more tickets to watch this year.
Excellent event we loved it! Thank you! Go Lady Vols!🧡🧡🍊🍊
Ticketmaster is the best way to go. Easy to understand and overall great! I will definitely be using it again.
Great game. There weren't any Team USA tshirts for sale.
We have season tickets and we L O V E the Lady Vols! Playing team USA was a pleasure to watch as well as all the other season games!
Ever since I was a young girl I have followed the Tennessee Lady Vols ! I live on the opposite side of the state and had only seen them live one time when they played the local team (Memphis). Earlier this year when I saw they were scheduled to play South Carolina at UTK I knew it was time to make that dream happen and drove to Knoxville to see my first game in Thompson-Bolin Arena. My experience was perfect ! TBA staff and crew were so welcoming and professional. It truly felt like family ! I am going to make a yearly trip to UTK to see the Lady Vols every year !!
Great game! Great atmosphere! Great seats! Was an overall great experience.
Awesome experience....electric atmosphere, free parking and shuttle to the game!!
My daughter and I went to a UT vols game and it was the best experience I could’ve thought of having. It was my daughter’s first UT game and she was so happy with the entire experience. I thought the ease of getting the tickets was great. No hassle. we enjoyed every minute of it
It was great to be back at Rocky Top/Thompson-Boling Arena, for a Lady Vols Basketball Game! I hadn’t been to a Lady Vols Basketball Game since 2012 when I used to have season tickets. As always, the staff were very nice, courteous, and helpful. Thompson-Boling Arena is as nice of a facility as there is for sports, concerts, and other events. I hate that the Lady Vols lost to Connecticut and Geno; but they played hard and fought hard and I’m glad I was there!
Really enjoyed my trip. Found good parking a short walk from the arena. Once inside it was just a great atmosphere throughout the entire game. Excellent facility and really helpful arena personnel. Will definitely be back.
This was a last minute decision because I didn’t realize these teams may not play again as there aren’t any agreements in place beyond this year. My husband and I are UT Alumni and my daughter loves the Vols but also Paige Bueckers! Sooo, it was a perfect chance to see both. The experience was awesome. Way different than Memorial Gym for Vandy. This was like something at an NFL or NBA game. Next level for sure. Wasn’t so elaborate when I attended UT 😆.
Where has this option been? No waiting, searching, close contact with others. Couldn't have worked out better. Looking forward to the next big game against South Carolina. Extremely satisfied customer!
The girls were on fire today, we enjoyed the game with our oldest grandson, the atmosphere, the opponent did not disappoint as Alabama came ready to play but they couldn’t pull it off! The Lady Vols showed up and showed out with a win! The 3 PT shots by Darby were flawless, Great job lady Vols 🧡🤍🧡🤍
The ticket transfer went very smoothly. And the Lady Vols won the game. All in all a fun night.
Took my Brothers and best friend we really enjoyed the game and the scenery
