Teenage Wrist Tickets

Wrist is the most important band right now in rock. And their live show sure supports that. I had to do something I only used to see old people do (leave early). Major shout out to Initiate and Spiritual Cramp. Such an eclectic lineup. I felt like it was 1989 somewhere in Seattle. Though there was certainly plenty more than nostalgia on offer here. Constellation Room - Great intimate venue. Everything ran right on schedule.

Weird setup for a venue but very nice and comfortable with great sound. Teenage Wrist is just awesome and that was that.

I was thrilled to get to see Teenage Wrist and Soft Cult on the same bill. They are the best two rock bands I've discovered in the pandemic era. I loved their performances, as well as that of Soft Blue Shimmer. The downside was that the show was not mixed well. The vocals by all three bands were mixed unevenly and could have benefitted from more compression, and the vocals for SBS and SC were very low in the mix. SBS's bass was also almost completely absent in the mix. I expected better from The Echo, a venue where I have seen several shows that sounded better from an engineering standpoint. Anyway, if you get the chance to see any of those three bands, DO IT!
