The TaxSlayer Gator Bowl is an annual postseason college football game in Jacksonville, Florida. First held on January 1, 1946 at Jacksonville’s Fairfield Stadium, later renamed Gator Bowl Stadium, the event was played on the same field until 1993, when its current home at EverBank Stadium was built on the site and returned in 1995. Although the Gator Bowl began as a showcase for at least one member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the game’s opponents have more recently featured opponents from either the SEC, Big Ten and Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Across 80 editions of the Gator Bowl, memorable moments include the Pittsburgh Panthers’ 37-9 upset over the South Carolina Gamecocks in 1980 and Florida State coach Bobby Bowden’s last game in 2010.     The entry process for the gator bowl was efficient. The stadium looks dated and the metal seats were very cold during this game. The views were great with the Jumbotrons. Safety was solid

    We had a group of 10 people that went with us and we all had a wonderful time. The only downside was there was not enough vendors around selling merchandise. Other than that it was a n awesome bowl game experience!

    Great experience from beginning to end. Staff were very helpful and nice. Both Clemson fans and Kentucky fans were respectful to one another. It was an amazing experience and I would definitely go back!

    We had a great time at the Gator Bowl. This event is well done. Jacksonville is a very good location, especially with hotels on the river and water taxis to the stadium.

    I bought my club ticket to the game two weeks before kickoff. I selected my seat using the stadium map. In addition to the game ticket, I also purchased a parking pass. Ticketmaster sent several email reminders ahead of the game which were very helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.
