The duo of Taj Maha and Keb Mo was beyond expectations. That’s saying a lot!
It was such an amazing show. The crowd was super in to it. The performance was incredible. If the venue had a little better climate control this would have been a 5 star show for sure.
Such a phenomenal show! From the incredibly talented opening act, Jontavious Ellis, to the 2-hour-plus headlining show of Keb Mo and Taj Mahal, this was a fantastically entertaining night!
An incredible show with two living legends on stage and an incredibly tight and talented band. So glad we got to see Taj Mahal again. Do not miss if you get the chance to see them.
Loved this concert. Both were very good. Their sound was excellent & I would recommend seeing them again. Went to the meet & greet and they were both so pleasant. Very personable. Thank you for having this opportunity. I think more merchandise would have been better. My husband needed a 2xl and nothing was available in his men’s size. But we did end up with an album and other stuff. Very good venue. Thank you. Michelle
We lived the blend of blues interpretations of both Taj Mahal & Keb Mo. Their band was amazing too!
Fewer and fewer of these great blues guys around. Great energy, great band
Hard to beat the combination of tow of the best blues men around. Great show. Great venue. See them if you can.
Great show. Amazing to see such Blues legends. Taj Mahal and Keb Mo were awesome. Every person in the band was great as well. Good chemistry between everyone. Nice mix of old and new songs. Front row seats were worth every penny. Dream come true.
I was lucky enough to see Keb Mo and Taj Mahal perform together at the Domino Effect concert in 2009 in NOLA and am thrilled that I got to see them together again. Keb Mo shows are always a blast and this show was no exception. The opening act, Jontavious Willis, was wonderful as well - talented, engaging, and fun. Glad to see so many generations of the blues on stage. Rialto Square Theater was also unbelievably beautiful.
Great show. Not the first time I have seen Taj Mahal, but I'd never seen Keb Mo. Taj is certainly gettin' on in years, but he still has what it takes to put on a great evening of music. They started together, played separately and then finished together. I honestly couldn't say one solo session was better than the other, and their chemistry together was undeniable. You should definitely see them if you can!
I've been to a lot of concerts over the years, and this festival ranked in the top 5. The hot weather made it a bit uncomfortable for the early acts, but the water misters placed around the grounds helped. By the time TajMo played, the weather was perfect. The "Tajmo" band was great, as were Taj Mahal and Keb Mo. Great music and a great venue. Taj Mahal may not be touring much longer, and he's a treasure that's very under appreciated and will be missed when he's gone.
Taj Mahal and Keb Mo were incredible. The whole group of musicians playing with them were great. Only difficulty with this concert was a very hot day in Seattle, a long concert ( 6 hours and 4 acts ) with little shade provided by the venue. Would have been even better with only one opening act and a later start. Chateau St Michelle needs to set up some tents/awnings near the food venders for these situations. So, 5 Stars for the Musicians and 2 Stars for the Venue.
Great music, good times! These performers are fun and really get the crowd up off their feet!
Taj-Mo was super -- would go to see them again in a heartbeat. Played their new stuff and some of each of their older material. And they played for over an hour. However, there seemed to be way too long between acts. The show started at 3 (on a swelteringly hot day -- for Seattle at least). The first of the 4 acts (Taj-Mo's backup singer) was on for 30 minutes (and a bit maudlin for the kick-off of an out door blues festival, I think) and then there was a 40 minute "setup" for another single person act -- really? Then another 40 minute setup for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band (they were a larger group, so that seemed reasonable). Given the weather and the venue, maybe starting the concert at 4 rather than 3 would have been better..... Did enjoy the Dirty Dozen, though -- a bit funky and had people up and moving.
We arrived at the venue at 2:00ish for a 3:00 start. It was about 95 degrees which is very hot for Seattle. Third row aisle seats were great. The opener - a solo female - was pretty good. After her set and what seemed a looong break, the second act - a solo male - played. He was so-so.Then another looong break. When the Dirty Dozen Brass Band came on approaching 6:30 we bailed. We were melting - and aggravated by all the delays. Never saw Taj or Keb...
I've seen Keb' live a number of times but this was my first experience with Taj Mahal. What a GREAT show! The weather was SO hot...and the music was, too! So much energy and personality from these two veterans. I LOVED it!
The blues festival at the Chateau St. Michelle winery was wonderful. Great music, good wine and sunshine. If you get the chance to see Taj Maha and Keb Mo play don't hesitate.
My family and I had such a great time!!! The music, food and sun was the perfect family night out! The music was absolutely incredible!!!
While these musicians are all accomplished and amazing, the music was slow and dull. This crowd needed more up-beat music - where was the rest of the band on the first 2 shows? Having a single artist up there in front of all these people wasn't enough.
