    Best venue! 10/10 live performance!

by Mike Burns on 1/15/20Sony Hall - New York

The people who saw Hamilton across the street that night completely missed out! This is where the real fun was happening in NYC. This was probably the best overall concert experience my wife and I have ever had, and we've been to hundreds of shows. The 5 star food and professional staff, who sat us right at the front table really put it over the top for us. I'll never forget how good the house wine was. Even more unforgettable was the tour de force that is Taimane and her band. She really knows how to channel the energy of the audience into an electrifying performance. Virtuoso musicianship combined with excellent song writing, a beautiful singing voice and awesome stage presence. She and her team were able to transition through numerous genres ranging from Hard Rock, to Bossa Nova, to Flamenco, to Classical (just to name a few) with ease. She was also very gracious and engaging with the audience and a joy to meet in person after the show. Few are as deserving of massive success in their music career. Finally I want to give a shout out to the sound man. I've seen many an act have a bad night on account of the mixing engineer. This engineer had everyone sounding fantastic, especially the percussionist, who's Cajon rocked harder than most full kits. Perfect night!

    Taimane was amazing

by Perry1955 on 1/12/20Sony Hall - New York

Taimane Gardner killed it at Sony Hall beautiful music executed perfectly. She took the audience for a trip through our planetary system (most compositions named for planets). Show included dancers, aerialist and a kickass band. If you have the opportunity to see her GO! Sony Hall was a bit of a disappointment room felt big and hollow. lighting had great wash effects but front lighting left artists in shadow much of the time. Food was expensive as you would expect but quality was not up to par with counterparts like Cutting Room or City Winery. They couldn't come up with chesse for their chesseburger for example. Waitstaff was excellent though.
