Not enough quality homemade art items...way too many food items. Between parking and the ticket it's too expensive and not worth it in my opinion.
I love the Tacoma Dome Holiday Festival for the crafters and beautiful specialty stores that normally attend. I missed the many holiday crafters and the specialty boutiques selling country chic items and beautiful Christmas items.
We had a nice time, but it would of been better with less fair like stands and more Christmas like stands. The first time I went to the Holiday Festival at Tacoma Dome was like 14 years ago. They had a great spread of Christmas like decor, stockings, ornaments, gift wrapping, food, and locally owned handmade gifts. It's feels more fairish. They have Santa but it would be nice to have Carolers walking around singing or something to that nature.
This year's event was a bit disappointing. There were fewer vendors overall and not enough small business vendors. In the past we've been able to buy lots of fun gifts for people and decorations. This year I bought two decorations from the same vendor and only a couple gifts. I felt some of the vendors were too aggressive at trying to get us to try whatever they were selling. One actually grabbed my hand as I was trying to walk by. I didn't appreciate that. There were two scentsy booths, why?? You do not need two of anything. I miss the small independent vendors that used to be there. I will not be coming back next year. Not worth the money to get in or my time.
Parking arrangements could have been improved.. long waits and no shuttle for those parking in the farthest lots, we observed a woman trying to hike in with a cane. Perhaps have multiple entry points. Security could be more thorough. . they only glanced in my purse, I have a conceal carry purse and they didn't even check those areas even though I had them unzipped for access. Overall experience inside was nice, my husband and I felt it could have had more "Christmas"/seasonal type vendors for less of a fair feel. . less duplicate vendors. .
I felt the cost of admission plus parking was too much for a shopping event, where I planned to spend more money.
We have enjoyed coming to the show for many years, but not sure how many more times we will be coming. First, parking has gotten soooo expensive, second the addmission price is kinda ridiculous that we are paying for "all 4 days", when most people only go for 1, third there are sooo many other vendors there that sell home improvements et al. instead of a gift festival and fourth I miss the days of small food vendors.
We look forward to this show every year. We attend at least once, if not multiple days. Highly recommended to kick off the holiday season.
The gift booths were like every year, but the food court vendors served the worst food. The quality was extremely poor and it was expensive. They also used to have soup served in bread bowls, but those are gone. Please up your game with the food!
I love the Food & Gift Festival at Tacoma Dome, love the unique gift ideas. My sister & I make it a yearly event!
I was expecting beautiful holiday decor and gifts. This was the opposite. Vendors were meh and didn't have a magical holiday feel.
Had a great time. The vendors were great. Loved seeing people being happy and enjoying life. The only thing that I would suggest is to have carts that take people from the parking lot to the event and back. Also, look at bringing in more vendors. I had a great time.
Parking was horrible and overpriced when you also have to pay for tickets and high fee's on tickets. The booths were all the same just different companies. Would be nice to get different types of companies to give more variety. When you first started to do this the food court was amazing. But as the years go on the food court gets worse and worse. There are not a lot of choice. All beverages were warm because you would wait til you ran out and then put drinks in. A lot of people walked through and did not get food because they were disappointment.
We tried to go on a Saturday and there were so many people in line and so little availability of parking that we weren’t able to go. We were unwilling to pay $40 in the private pay lot. The Tacoma Dome has multiple entrances and they need to be using those. If they’re going to search everyone’s bag on the way in, maybe you should find a way to prevent people from causing harm to the people who are in line waiting to get in and have your bags checked
It’s been a few years since I’ve been. I thought were too many commercial vendors (cookware, knives , hot tubs, mattresses) not enough holiday themed vendors.
We bought an item and before we could even leave the Holiday gift show, hack attempts were made on our account. Four attempts to the tune of over $700.00! I reached out to the company that put on the event and asked them to warn the venders. I never heard back from anyone.
Paid alot for tickets to get in and it has gotten smaller. Food is terrible.Went on a Friday at 10am right when it opened to beat crowd. We were there till 12:00 and there wasn't much of a crowd. You could walk down aisles easily. It isn't the same. It must be really expensive to get a both and businesses don't really want to pay that much. Use to go every year and it was fun. Talked to a lot of people and they were disappointed. I won't be going anymore. To expensive and not fun.
you could barely hear the Christmas music. It was only playing on one side of the building. In the past you could hear the Christmas music. It is what made the event very festive,
I was very dissappointed thus year. It felt like i was walking through the showplex at the fair. Not very christmasy at all. Only some of thevendors were dressed holiday style and so festive xmas decorations especially when you walked in.
