About

SZA has been a game-changer in R&B ever since she became the first female artist to sign to the independent hip-hop label Top Dawg Entertainment, joining the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q. The New Jersey-raised Grammy-winning artist  self-released two EPs before partnering with TDE in 2013 to distribute her breakthrough EP Z, which charted on the Billboard 200 and featured the certified-gold single “Child’s Play” with Chance the Rapper. While preparing her highly-anticipated debut album Ctrl, SZA co-wrote songs like the Nicki Minaj-Beyoncé collaborative single “Feeling Myself” as well as “Consideration” from Rihanna’s 2016 album Anti. Ctrl arrived in 2017, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 behind Top 40 singles like “Love Galore” and “The Weekend” and earning five Grammy nominations. SZA would win her first Grammy as a featured artist on Doja Cat’s 2021 single “Kiss Me More,” and gained further mainstream notoriety following collaborations with Maroon 5, Cardi B and Summer Walker. Her second album SOS debuted at No. 1 in late 2022 and topped the Billboard 200 for 10 non-consecutive weeks. In 2023, SZA earned her first two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers with SOS’ “Kill Bill” and the Drake collaboration “Slime You Out.”

SZA was just amazing, everything about the show was great. Would love to see her again. She was so awesome at the end bringing people backstage. My daughter would have loved that. Maybe next time.

  • Performance Amazing but Seating Disappointed

by MichA on 10/11/23Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

The performance was amazing but so disappointmented with the floor seating. I spent a large sum of money for the floor tickets and to have people constantly walking and standing in front of us was very frustrating and disappointing. The chairs were right on the walking area and by the stairs. The security staff tried to inform their supervisor to direct the patrons to the other stairwell but the supervisor did not cooperate. There were people constantly standing or walking right in front of us either waiting to go up the stairs or be directed to their seating area. I had to lightly push a man from backing up into my young daughter. In Spite of this, SZA provided an amazing show and performance.

  • BEST CONCERT EVER

    by T. T. on 10/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This is my second time seeing Sza in person, first time was in MSG and this was my first at Barclays. My seats were amazing, even if you weren’t directly in front she made it interactive for everyone to enjoy themselves. The lights and visuals were truly beautiful and simply enhanced the experience. She performed both CTRL & SOS and “Diamond Boy” from her highly anticipated deluxe album. The outfit changes were great, her vocals were good for someone who recently lost her voice HOWEVER it was moments were we couldn’t hear her due to the sound dropping or fading out (Barclays fault). Over all I’d rate this show (10/07) a 8.5/10, definitely was worth it and I had a BLAST. ID DO IT ALL AGAIN, DONT HESITATE BUY THAT TICKET YOU WILL BE ENTERTAINED!

  • Indescribable

by Mikey on 10/10/23Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

Even though SZA was sick, she put on seriously the best concert I’ve ever been too. Vocals were still insane. Dance moves were phenomenal. The sense of unity and love that was felt among the audience members was beautiful. The visuals, the stage design, the lighting, seriously everything was amazing and I wish I could see it again.

  • MY SONS BDAY GIFT

  • An experience to remember

by Jamitz on 10/10/23Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

The lights, the sound, and the crowd control was ecstatic. The SZA performance was phenomenal. Have no complaints other than i thought that the venue v was smoke free. A bunch of girls vaping, and saw a few gals smoking weed. Everyone had their blinders on even security or staff.

  • SZA’s concert

by Elle on 10/10/23Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

I loved SZA’s concert. She is an amazing artist. The only thing i hated is that everyone smoked weed, the security weren’t reacting and i was there with my two 13 year old daughters.

  • A for effort, C for execution

by Macho on 10/10/23Barclays Center - BrooklynRating: 3 out of 5

Beautiful show. A lot of stage changes, clothing changes, and different vibes. She played what mostly felt like her hits. Very few if any deep cuts. A lot of songs that were played were shortened, and some of the mixes from one song to the next didn’t feel as natural. She also had a great opportunity to be bring out a fellow collaborator of one of hers as many artists do on a stage of this magnitude but she kept it centered around her. Which is still beautiful. She seemed to sing behind the stars songs instead of in-front of them. For me if you can’t sing in front of the songs you’re never above a 4 rating. Still a great show but at this price i expect a little more.
