    Great Show on Ice!

by Crunchmeister1 on 10/11/10War Memorial At Oncenter - Syracuse

The seats were great, had nice view of all the action. Getting in and out as well as parking was easy.

    Worst Setup Imaginable

by Kabinotar on 3/2/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The setup of the rink/seating/viewing for the event was the most poorly designed and least thought out event I've ever been to. I would tell no one to go if they hold it again next year.

    One big Mess

by dreness17 on 2/23/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The bathroom situations were a disaster. We had to wait in line over 15 to 20 minutes just to use the provided restrooms. This caused me to miss over a period of hockey in between bathroom breaks. Bottom line i got to watch maybe one full period of hockey. The event was under pre-paired for the amount of people there. Over all the event was well under accommodated and i was very disappointed.

    Crunch seats horrible

by Anonymous on 2/23/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

This event probably would have been a lot of fun if I could have seen anything. The seats said unobstructed view. That was a laugh. I could see one tip of the rink and that was it. I could have gotten rinkside seats for two shows for the price I paid for this show.

    Risky business

by sliebler on 2/22/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The parking and lines were atrocious, but it was worth it. Howard Dolgon made us all proud to be Syracusans on Saturday. Let's do it again!

Winter Classic was a forgettable event!!!

by Anonymous on 2/22/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

Bad event, bad game, bad location. Hold next year's game in Hershey Pennsylvania. After traveling 3 hours looking forward to a history making event- the 3 hour ride back home was the best part of our trip!

For such a great idea I had a horrible time.

by tara1223 on 2/22/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

For such a great idea the organzation was horrible! I paid for tickets back in November and then recieved a call from the Crunch Team for an upgrade to non-existant seats! I was tossed around from usher to usher at the venue and ended up missing the first half of the game until I took matters into my own hands. I have never been treated so poorly by staff at the event and the Crunch staff themselves! The three main obstacles for any event are parking, admission and bathrooms, Well I paid 10 dollars for parking only to find out they stopped charging for parking after I parked my car, I waited a hour in line to get to my (non-existant) seat, and had to use a port-o-potty. There are several aspects of this game that were over looked at I am very disappointed in the fact I paid $100 dollars for the best tickets the day they went on sale only to be disregarded as if I didn't have a ticket at all. I would like to be compensated for my treatment at this event. I have gone to hundreds of concerts and sporting events, many at this very venue and have never been treated is badly as I was this weekend. Shame on Syracuse for not appreciating patronage in such a financially burdened time where monies from great events like these would put Syracuse back on the map as a great city. Like I said, for such a great idea, it was horribly organized, and any person who would have thought this event wouldn't get the publicity and turnout it did should be fired and banned from any additional PR work because clearly they don't know what they are doing.

Mirabito Outdoor Classic was a Classic

by Ocoord on 2/22/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The Mirabito Outdoor Classic was an absolute historic experience. It was great to be a part of history. The game was very exciting as was all the fanfare and pregame festivities. I took my children and they had fun as well.

    Amazing event, poor management.

by JAK14 on 2/21/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The Winter Classic was an amazing event, one that compares to nothing I've ever experienced before. The cold weather ensured that none but the truest of hockey fans were in attendance. There are few things in life that are a guarantee, but one of them is this: if you put 20,000+ true hockey fans in the same place at the same time and give them beer, a wonderful time will ensue. The game was outstanding as well - an excellent showing from both teams with the hometown boys taking two points, just as it would have been were it a Hollywood production. HOWEVER... there were some major issues. The first was the traffic situation. We arrived in the city of Syracuse at noon. We did not park at the grounds until 1:40pm. Our parking spot was plowed immediately before we pulled into it. How could you not have enough parking prepared? If this was the issue that caused the traffic issue, SHAME on the fairgrounds for their underestimations. Many (including my party) missed the beginning of the game because of this. Also, the bathroom situation. 20-45 minute wait for a porta-potty? There are only 20 minutes between periods. More of the game to miss.

doesn't DESERVE one star! how about MINUS stars?

by Anonymous on 2/21/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

this event was not something i'd go to again or recommend to anyone. first, there was stop and go traffic for the last 3 miles to the event on the 690. when we finally got to the venue, 45 minutes late and at the end of the first period, i found that police were JUST getting in place to direct traffic. it was HORRIBLE. once inside, there was maybe 40 portable lavs for 21,508 people. really??????????? the alcohol consumption was over the top by most in attendence and the seating was horrible. our seats were right in front of a pole that blocked one of the goals. we had grandstand seats but i would have been even more upset if we had purchased 'bleacher' seats. they were not even rinkside!!!!! overall, a waste of FORTY DOLLARS PER TICKET!!!!!!! never again. never.

The Crunch game was poorly planned

by Coop81 on 2/21/10NY State Fair - Syracuse

The organizers of this game did not prepare for parking situations. We sat on the highway and we were not able to park until 1:35 though we left Cicero at 12:10. The only reason we got into the game that early is because we were extremely aggressive in moving to the front of the line of cars. There were no police officers at an event with 21,000 where beer was served until the last minute of the game. Many fans were out of their seats, surrounding the glass and blocking the view of others. At these ticket prices, I did not appreciate an obstructed view! Upon entering the area outside of the grandstand the parking lot was strewn with beer cans as there were no garbage cans set up. We were misdirected to our seats by two different ushers. We were sent from the grandstand to bleachers, back to the grandstand, only to find our seats (in bleachers on another side of the rink) on our own. Logistically this was a very poorly run event.

Parking could've been planned for better. Could had more gates open to get in & out of, but it was still a great time.
