Cant believe the ballet came to Beaumont!!! It was so beautiful to watch and The Jefferson Theater is a beautiful historic place to see a performance. The dancers were so graceful and brought such life to the story.
They were flawless and flowed beautifully throughout. I love Swan Lake and love it even more now!! I hope they come back and highly recommend seeing the Russian Ballet perform, if you get the chance!!
The ballet company was fantastic. It is too bad it was sparsely attended, maybe due to the weather. I would definitely see them again.
Beautiful dancing, beautiful costumes, beautiful story. The choreography was brilliant and the turns and leaps were breathtaking. Take your young aspiring ballerinas to see this to get inspired.
This was a great ballet. The talent was unbelievable! The costumes were wonderful and the sets were great!
The production of Swan lake was just wonderful. How they danced this ballet in a limited area with recorded music so well that one didnt even notice, is a tribute to their immense talent as a company. Absolutely beautiful.
Dancers were good but stage is too small for ballet performances
Fantastic dancing with many many highly skilled dancers. Although the story line isn't the traditional one I found the interpretation very pleasing. I would run to see them again especially in a downtown setting. Bravo Russian State Ballet
When I saw the State Ballet of Russia was coming to town I was surprised they were going to be performing at Lynn Auditorium, I was expecting them to perform somewhere in Boston. Either way I was excited to go and I ended up loving the feel the old building gave to the whole ambiance of the Bakker. My friends and I had a great time!
The music and the dance was fabulous, would see it again.
The ballet was awesome - such talent. This was my first professional ballet in person. Swan Lake - for me, as the only negative, the show was a little long - 2 hours of ballet with an intermission. Other than that, I was completely entertained.
Purchased these tickets as a Christmas present for my mom, and we loved it! The dancing was beautiful.
The performance was wonderful! I wish there had been a program though. We had no idea what character was dancing to what piece. THe 'story' was very hard to follow. Howver, there is NOTHING better than watching Russians dance to Russian music played by Russian musicians
Performance was overall very good. There were sound system problems during the first act, at one point the sound completely cut out for about 1 minute. The dancers continued on without a hitch however. The dancing was very good, There were a few minor stumbles.
Swan Lake is my all time favorite ballet and this experience exceeded my expectations! The performance was amazing and the white swan was PHENOMENAL!
I was a bit nervous, I have never spent so much money on a ticket before. But the performance was worth every single cent. The cast members were amazing. My only complaint is that the jester didn't come out at the end for applause. Both my mom and I were waiting for him to come out because he was our favorite ballerino.
The exceptional expertise of the performers, level of skill, interpretation, etc., was superb. I only wish there had been programs given out. I certainly would have liked to have known some of the names, and I would like to have kept it as a keepsake.
The MP3, or whatever was playing the audio, skipped out at least 3 times, possibly more. It was embarrassing. I felt bad for the performers.
The dancing was good, but the costumes were average. However, the quality of the music was deplorable. The transition between songs was unprofessional & there was a 10 second pause, while the dancers were dancing, that had no music.
The ballet part was very good, costumes excellent, and the stage sets very well done. There was no orchestra however, and the substitute recorded soundtrack was poor quality. The bad audio was compounded with the soundtrack being completely cutoff for a 20 second period during the first act (the dancers continued on anyway without missing a beat!). This would've been a 4 star event had there been a real orchestra or a high quality sound system.
