Swami John Reis Tickets

Band so nice I went to see him twice! Great musician, great singer, consistant entertainment.

John Reis can do no wrong. His latest collaboration with The Blind Shake is thrilling and fulfilling. He seemed a tad nervous at first, perhaps unsure if the crowd would dig his new sound (before starting the set, he even said something like, "We're probably going to play more surf guitar music than you want to hear"), but after the first song, the applause left no doubt that everyone loved it. I should also note I was pleasantly surprised that opener the So So Glos were a really tight and entertaining band. And finally, I must say The Mercury Lounge is a really great venue. Probably my favorite right now. The space is intimate, the sound is great, the bar staff is always nice. I've been there many many times to see various bands and I've never had a bad or even mediocre experience.

Speedo/John Reis can do no wrong, him with The Blind Shake was no exception. Unbelievable!
