Great show as always! Suzy is the best! Her voice is truly amazing. She has a great personality and always interacts with her fans. Love her meet and greets after the show. Never to busy to talk to her fans. These new songs are some of her best.

Suzy is always consistently excellent! Just a clear, beautiful voice. And she's very nice to folks waiting for autographs or pictures afterwards. Great show!!

  • Suzy Bogguss...Great Performance

by songmandc on 8/9/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

It was wonderful to hear her live...she sounds just as good as she does on her albums. No use of Auto-tune. Just out and out great singing. Her band....wow....great musicians. As a music teacher, (a choral director,) it was wonderful to spend an evening listening to a wonderful artist. I am anxious to share with my students that great performers don't need back up dancers, over done lighting, over done sound mixing...with auto-tune and no lip-syncing. Just true artistry. I look forward to hearing her again in concert

  • FABULOUS!!

by SweetBetsy on 8/8/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful fun evening at The Birchmere! Suzy is always SO great, but this show was especially fun and upbeat. The combination of old and new songs was just perfect. I loved hearing the stories of some of the Folk songs that she was performing. She sings like an angel, and we are never disappointed when leaving one of her shows. Also, as always she is so gracious to meet and sign CD's in the lobby after every show. Like meeting up with an old friend.:O) The Birchmere could step it up a bit with their food selection and quality. Also NO water on the tables unless you buy BOTTLED Water is ridiculous!

  • Suzy is special

    by Dick68 on 8/8/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time in the past year I've seen Suzy Boggus at the Berchmere. I don't think I''ve ever seen a performer who obviously enjoys her work more than Suzy. She has incredible energy, a wonderful sense of humor, amazing rapport with her audiences, and a superb voice.

  • Suzy Bogguss is a great performer

by pccdavef on 8/8/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Ms. Bogguss makes regular appearances in the DC area and if you like her music at all, then this is a show that you really should make an effort to see. The Birchmere is a great venue, she has an amazing voice and repertoire, and the musicians in her band is top notch. A great evening of new and older material.

  • A Good Time Was Had

by VirginiaBoomer on 8/8/11Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Before we came, we had heard Suzy's new album of folk songs, but that was all. She and the band provided a very nice and melodic treatment of the folk songs, but combined them with a variety of other genres and demonstrating a great range of vocal and instrumental capabilities.

  • Terrific Show

Suzy's vocals are incredibly strong. Great highs and lows. Band was terrific. All around totally entertaining evening.

  • Suzy Bogguss is amazing!

by OakHaven on 12/21/10Avalon Theatre - EastonRating: 5 out of 5

I attended Suzy Bogguss's Christmas Show on Dec. 17th, at the Avalon Theatre in Easton, MD. Every moment of the 2 hr show was incredible! Suzy has the voice of an angel, & her lyrics go right to my heart. The combination of Christmas Songs and Suzy's signature songs was perfect. The musicians in her group were brilliant. Each musician had solo's to show their skills. I have been a huge fan of Suzy's since the '90's. Her song, 'Letting Go,' still brings tears to my eyes. I first heard her sing that song in '94, when my daughter was getting ready to leave for her Freshman year at college. I listen to Suzy on my iPod, in my kitchen, and in my car. The accoustics at the Avalon were so wonderful that Suzy sounded better LIVE than on her CD's! Thank you for a brilliant, entertaining, charming Christmas Concert. I love you, Suzy!!!

  • Suzy Bogguss pulled it out.

    by sat10day on 12/17/10Rex Theatre - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

Went to the show in Pgh. at the Rex Theatre. Never been there and will probably never go back. Suzy did wonderful with the situation. 24 people there. Cold like a dugeon. But Suzy was personal and cheerful and did everything she could to make the evening good. I love her music. Have about 6 of her cd's and bought the Christmas one there. Suzy and her music made it a excellent show. Will see her next time she comes to the area.

  • Suzy never disappoints

by Bungalowman on 12/16/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Suzy Bogguss has one of the finest voices in the business and an endearing personality that really shines in the smaller venues. In this show, she performs material from her two Christmas albums (including one just recorded this November), some of her hits, and a song or two from her upcoming folk album. She often calls this show "A Swingin' Little Christmas" because of the swing feel to many of the songs. Her four-piece band consists of piano/accordion, drums, upright bass, guitar/harmonica, and she plays guitar very well herself. You can also stay and meet her afterward.

  • Suzy Boggus Christmas Show

by DanielandPeggy on 12/16/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Suzy's Christmas show was wonderful, and she is such a great entertainer. We particularly like the folksy, friends around a campfire approach and her interaction with the audience. Oh yeah -- did I forget to mention - she has a wonderful voice, and her band is awesome too.

I went to this concert as a favor to my fiance but walked away a fan myself. The music was good, the venue was great, and Ms. Bogguss was very, very entertaining.

  • Suzy Bogguss was terrific!

by BengalLancer on 6/25/10Cain Park - Cleveland HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

Suzy sang a wide variety of material plus many of her hit songs. She is a remarkably versatile singer. She was in excellent form and received enthusiastic ovations after each of her numbers. Her accompanists were first rate and added much to the evening's performance. She has a charming and effervescent stage presence. Suzy communicated well with the audience by telling humorous and interesting but brief stories introducing most of the songs. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert and look forward to seeing her again when she performs in our area.

  • Suzy Bogguss - one of the BEST in the business

by GrammyJudy on 6/21/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

Suzy is a tremendous entertainer not just a singer of fabulous songs. She engages with the audience and incorporates them into her songs. Her performance included many genres of musical taste such as country rock, soft rock, bluegrass, cowboy, jazz, folk, Americana, and pure country. She is very talented on the guitar as well. The two gentlemen who performed with Suzy were also very talented and together their accompaniment was one of the best we had ever heard in any concert we attended in over twenty years. Suzy has a great personality and chatted with the attendees well over one hour after the show, allowing us autographs and pictures with her. Suzy still has a beautiful voice after so many years in the business and she sang many of her chart-topping hits ~ as well as cover songs and songs from her new albums ~ to thunderous applause. She is a true professional and we look forward to seeing her again many times in the future. The intiimate club-like atmosphere of the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA is a perfect venue to see Suzy at her best .

Great show! The range of musical genres was wonderful-country, western, folk, jazz, Beatles--wow!

  • Wow! Great Concert

by henricoan on 6/20/10Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

I'd never seen Suzy Bogguss before but always thought she had a great voice. My wife and I thought this was one of the best concerts we've ever attended. She seems just like the "lady next door"...so friendly, so funny, so perky but so talented. Still has wonderful voice. She didn't do my favorite dong of hers (Forget About It) but a very nice mix of new and old and a few surprises like Beatles All My Loving and Shenandoah. Her two band members are top notch. High recommended!!
