My wife and I went to the Susan Boyle concert as a birthday present for my wife, because she likes her singing. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in terms of choreography, etc., so I was surprised. Her singing was fabulous throughout the show. She engaged he audience in several instances and responded positively to audience feedback. The show started with a male singer and two supporting female singers along with a 7-member band. While these supporting groups might go on for a while, this trio only sang two numbers and introduced Susan in a grand introduction with all of the lights, glitter, etc. She sand for about 45 minutes and then closed for about a 15 minute intermission before resuming the second half of the show that lasted for about another 45-50 minutes. We sat in row T of the theatre, which is a little far back to see her facial features, but we had the grand view, so to speak. She was a little bit difficult to understand when she was speaking between numbers, and at times she appeared a little stilted in that role, but I expect that will change as she gains experience. However, there was no difficultly understanding the words to the songs she sang, and she engaged the other singers, the band, and also a group of about two dozen young people that provided background support for some of her songs. My wife thought the concert was fabulous and I concur with her assessment. I would go to another one of her concerts, if/when, she returns to the Atlanta areas. The next time we would sit closer to the stage.
