On Reside, their fourth LP, SUMMER SALT continue the push and pull between where they've been and where they're going, honoring the sun-soaked charm that won them their devoted fanbase while exploring new creative terrain.
While the 13-track Reside carries the same effortlessly beautiful melodies, delicate introspection and hazy instrumentation that have colored albums like 2021's Sequoia Moon and 2023's Campanita, the process of constructing the songs was quite literally flipped on its head this time around, with drummer/multi-instrumentalist Eugene Chung handling the bulk of the songwriting duties, later leaning on his bandmates (frontman Matthew Terry and multi-instrumentalists Winston Triolo and Anthony Barnett) to bring his ideas to life.
The result is an album that carries Summer Salt's hallmark aesthetic, a swirl of surf pop, bossa nova and retro indie that evokes long coastal drives and the slow exposure of Polaroid photos on scorching summer afternoons while offering new emotional textures and lyrical depth. Even after its final notes fade, Reside lingers, the sort of feelings that stick with you after the sun has set, the summer has slipped away, and the golden haze of memory begins to clear. In those quiet, reflective moments, Summer Salt's music hums: familiar and full of feeling. It's a gentle reminder of the past and a nudge toward the future, but also the stillness of the now. You'll get where you're going eventually. Until then, be where you are.

Summer Salt is absolutely riveting live! They sound just as good as they do on record. Would 100% recommend.
Such a good show. Venue was good, crowd and fans were awesome and respectful.
Amazing experience, simply amazing, both openers + Summer salt itself was pure magic to live in the moment
venues alright. Stage is too high. Workers and staff are amazing but how about you open the box office to buy tickets in person and actually answer our phone calls instead of sending us to a machine.
Summersault, Chevy, and The Symposium, brought a perfect evening of performances. All three sets were incredible with great musicianship, performing and personalities!
The band was perfect, and it's a wonderful place to enjoy music. However, the warm-up guests weren't good and took too long, almost 1.5 hours.
Mwah Mwah perfect loved it. Thank you for a perfect night
I wasn’t a massive die hard fan before buying tickets, just a casual fan who knew a few songs but after seeing them live im obsessed. Sweetest group of guys who really care about their fans, amazing openers, timely and put on an amazing show. Sound just like the records if not better and interacted so sweetly with the crowd. I will be attending their show again when their next round of touring comes around!
All three artists were great, the venue was very clean and easy to enter whilst still feeling safe. The crowd had a great time and the energy was fantastic!
