Sub-Radio makes indie pop that grooves, stabs, winks, punches, inspires. Founded by six childhood friends, they built a worldwide following on the strength of ecstatic virtual and live shows and a stream of releases. Following the release of their 2020 EP Thoughts Lights Colors Sounds, produced by Andrew Maury (Shawn Mendes, Lizzo, COIN), the band embarked on a pandemic-induced virtual Reddit tour, reaching over 4 million unique viewers in just 5 months. Their latest single "What You Want To Hear", debuting in February 2021, is a pop blast of love and compassion in the face of adversity.
Great show! High energy! Sweetest guys! A must see when they are in town!
The band was great! Adam has an amazing voice and for missing one of their members that night, the show was still wild. Great to see the band grow and grow.
Fantastic performance by Sub-Radio! Loved seeing them live, and they did not disappoint. Opening act (Olen) was also super entertaining. 10/10, would go again in a heartbeat.
These guys always put on an amazing show! High energy with a very positive welcoming vibe! Always willing to interact with the fans afterwards.
These guys have so much fun while up there performing that the crowd feeds off of that energy making it electric! It's a great concert experience. Also the nicest dudes off stage. Really make it a point to interact with the fans!
I was totally caught off guard by the two openers, they were absolutely fantastic and now I have two new bands to listen to! Sub radio was so great, I can’t wait til they come back to Philly so I can see them again!
I was incredibly impressed with Sub-Radio's debut show of the 1990 Something tour. Clearly their years of playing live have paid off. Their stage presence and performance showed a well rehearsed unit that is intent on leading the way for a fun night for all who attend. Adam Bradley (lead singer) and Michael Pereira (drummer) exude extra charisma amongst their charismatic bandmates. The set list was tight and well sequenced. While I understand that perhaps they don't want to be pigeon-holed for their viral TikTok take on "Stacey's Mom", I do think it was the one miss of the night to not include it in the setlist. Their lyrical revision is clever and the song is always a crowd pleaser. Without one cover song in the set-list I think as an encore after clearly proving their ability to stand on their own material- it would have been the icing on the cake. This felt like one of those special shows when a band is ready for the next level, to see them with just 400 others was a moment, I'll remember when they are justifiably headlining arenas.
These guys easily get five stars (I would have given more if I could)! Their performance was simply electric, and they appeared so happy just to be there and play for us. Incidentally, the room was completely sold out, and judging by the crowd's reactions, we all agreed - Sub-Radio ruled!!! The only minor disappointment for me was that they didn't play Stacy's Dad, but I suspect it was probably due to the copyright issues. Other than that, the entire evening flew by. I already can't wait until they come back, so I could go and hear them again!!!!!
Concert was one of the best I've been to in a while! The guys are amazing at what they do and have incredible energy. If you want to experience some dank music with an amazing inclusive environment, I highly recommend going to see them play live!
