    Great concert

by Raggedyannandy on 7/14/10Target Center - Minneapolis

My husband and I really enjoyed the concert. It was better than we expected... the bands played longer than we thought they would. Very glad we were able to take advantage of the concert....

Great concert, Loved all 3 bands. Styx played very strong and Foreigner was on their A game. Kansas is a classic band that just keeps on playing. Thanks guys for a fun night.

    Awesome Show

by Nordsy on 7/11/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

What a great line up! The bands all match in music styles, and the performance of all the bands was flawless. The only hitch was the sound man for Forigner was struggling with the bass guitar being (clipping loud) in the mix. After about 5 songs he finally got a handle on it. I would fire that guy! Overall what an awesome show. I love all the bands for sticking in there and still performing, as we all enjoy the shows through all these years. : ))

    1970s Teenage Testosterone Concert

by Anonymous on 7/9/10Target Center - Minneapolis

Styx was outstanding! Foreigner was great when Mick Jones wasn't trying to impress everyone with his too long guitar solos. Kansas was solid but old looking.

We have seen many concerts this year & this was the best concert of them all. We had such a good time & great seats. I would go see them again tomorrow!! The VIP tickets to meet Foreigner and get pictures with them was very cool.

    Styx-Foreigner-Kansas: Good show!

by Kirschman01 on 7/8/10First Niagara Pavilion - Burgettstown

Kansas was first and was okay. They had the notable disadvantage of being the first act of a three act show and ouside of all day/all weekend festivals - rock n roll just doesn't work as well in the daylight. They played a barely 40 minute set and while standards like "Hold On" and "Carry On The Wayward Son" sounded good (Steve Walsh's vocals were very good) - I wished they had played Got To Rock On - a song I can now relate to even better now that I'm a fourty something adult versus when Audio Visions was released in what - 1980? Next was Foreiger. They "sounded" very good. Amazing how close the new singer sounds like Lou Gramm. A little too much pompus "it's my band" pride from Mick Jones for my taste - hell, they are really a Foreigner cover band plus Mick Jones, right? But - all in all- they sounded great and played most of the big, expected Foreigner hits - although I would have liked to have heard "Long, Long Way From Home" - which they don't seem to play anymore as I've seen Foreigner three times now in the post-Gramm era and they have not performed that song once. Styx was the headliner and it was the best Styx show I've seen in years - and I've seen quite a few. This was my 9th Styx show and fourth since the ousting of Dennis DeYoung. They played more "classics" then they have in years and sounded very good. They've always had great "audience interaction" and "showmanship" with Tommy, JY and Lawrence Gowan all capable of being the "frontman" - they share the spotlight well. It seemed they were legitimately having fun and were fun to watch. I loved that they brought out at least pieces of great songs like Light Up and Borrowed Time - which they have not played in decades...still left me wanting more...more.

Great trip back to the 70s

by Nlkoebel on 7/7/10Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga Falls

Excellent concert, especially Kansas and Styx, which I'd never seen. Saw Foreigner in the 70s and again in 2005 and they still sound good. Foreigner presented new material.

    foreigner, styx, kansas

by Tiddley on 7/7/10Target Center - Minneapolis

I won tickets to this concert from our local radio station. We decided to buy two tickets so we could bring our two boys ages 21 and 23. We all enjoyed the concert very much. I have not had the chance to see any of these bands in concert. The traffic was heavy and there was a Twins baseball game at the nearby Target Field but the concert was worth the effort.

    styx was the best

by kebbin on 7/7/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

what a great show. kansas and styx were great as usual but then foreigner came out and played some new crap from their new album and took all the energy out of the show. i guess it worked out for me because i had to use the bathroom anyway. what is it with bands from the 1980's trying comebacks 30 years later. don't they know that people buy tickets to here their old music and not some new stuff. half way through foreigner, after they started to play the 2nd new song, we got up and left. if i wanted to here the new stuff i would go out and buy the cd. I loved styx, they always put on a great show. if you haven't seen them you need to make it to the next one. i saw them at cobo in 1980 and they still sound the same. my wife wasn't much of a styx fan but we have seen them the last 2 times at dte and now she loves them. we plan on going every year they come.

United In Rock - Kansas, Foreigner & Styx

by TKTwins on 7/7/10Target Center - Minneapolis

July 1, 2010 at Target Center was one of the best concerts I have attended. It was my 12th time seeing Styx...I was corner stage left three rows back...I told my brothers Kansas would warm you up, Foreigner would rock you and Styx will take you over the top...and Styx did take all of us "over the top"...the sound system was fantastic...rightfully loud...Tommy Shaw and James Young can still rock with the best...they played what Styx fans wanted and that was 70's and 80's...they were tight...Rock on Styx !!

    Foreigner,Styx,Kansas...Wow. (Love Tommy Shaw)

by Tessa7 on 7/6/10Verizon Wireless Music Center - Noblesville

I had a blast at this concert. The bands all did an amazing job, and one of the best things I saw, was that there were families there and even the kids knew the words to most of the songs. How cool is that.

    Kansas, Foreigner, Styx

by BlossomGal on 7/6/10Heartland Events Center - Grand Island

I got lucky and picked up the VIP package to go backstage with Foreigner. Talk about a dream come true from junior high school days! Yeah, going backstage was a blast even if it was a bit pricey. Now if only I could dance in a ZZ Top video and make out with Steve Perry. While backstage we were asked not to touch band members because of concerns about H1N1 and other communicable diseases. The guys might have partied like wild in the good old days, but the request to keep your distance is a reminder that everyone has to grow up at some point, keep their commitments, live up to their responsibilities, and not act like they're still twenty-two. I didn't know there was a valuable lesson to be learned about maturity from hanging with an aging rock band, but there it is. It isn't fair that adulthood gives us no choice about being responsible and committing to get things done, but an ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises.

    The Best Concert

by DebSN on 7/6/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

Oh my goodness was this an awesome concert. The whole crowd absolutely loved it. The music was totally as I hoped it would be and all three groups did a splendid job. It was the most fantasic concert I have been to in a long time. It poured rain during the concert and everyone on the hill still stayed and partied till the end.
