Foreigner-Styx and Kansas were fabulous. I saw them 2-3 years ago at Superpages and they definitely topped that concert. The crowd were on their feet the whole time. Even with new albums that the groups put out you just can't beat that kind of music.

    Styx, Foreigner, Kansas

by BoFriday on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

STYX was fantastic. Best stage band who always sounds like their studio recordings. Worth the price of admission. Wish they could have played more! STYX gets FIVE STARS! Kansas, not too good. Organist/vocalist's singing was forced and the music just didn't have a quality sound. I was not all that into Foreigner but they were okay. One thing with that set was the fact that Foreigner's stage lights was constantly shining into our eyes and was blinding. Very distracting. I guess it was to backlight the band but it did not work. I will go see STYX anytime but next time I hope they will be alone.

    Styx Rocks!

by GDO1 on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Great show! Kansas is showing their age but Styx and Foreigner were great! Those bands have so many great, memorable songs. We just wanted them to keep playing.

    What a great show!

by CapitalM on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

This was a mother's day gift for my wife and mom and it totally delivered! All three bands played great and sounded perfect live! The venue was great as well - what used to be Nokia Live has always delivered in the sound department. Go see this tour!

Kansas was my first concert and Foreigner was my second and Styx was my fourth back in 1977 and to see these guys still rocking after all these years is absolutely amazing!!! I highly recommend this concert to relive all the good times and memories!!!

with all the concerts ive seen over the past 15 years, Styx Foreigner and Kansas are some of the best. There is no doubt in my mind they can go toe to toe with and of the new age bands and still sell more tickets

    Foreigner overshadowed!

by Anonymous on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Kansas was a very good opening act, despite the oversinging by the lead. Several classic songs got the crowd going STYX stole the show, in my opinion. The crowd was at its loudest wanting an encore. I had not heard their new singer and he was spot on for their hits. Tommy Shaw still strikes a chord with the crowd, but is not blantant in his approach Foreigner's guitarist and new lead singer had skills, but they seemed disappointed that the new stuff didnt get a strong reaction (probabaly becuase it was average). So many of their songs sound so much alike that they were underwhelming. The new lead singer, although has a powerful voice, spent too much time trying to get the crowd to be louder. It seemed forced

Two out of three isn't bad

by buffalo13 on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Kansas was far too short, but opening bands are stuck with that and we wished "The Wall" had been part of the set. Styx is now just a Cover Band, especially with this set list of mostly Dennis DeYoung songs (seven out of ten), and Gowan is just a similar voice copy cat without the talent and energy DDY provided. We are glad we waited through the "I'm Tommy Shaw, Look at me", show as Foreigner was outstanding and the new stuff was just as good as the old. Loved the Choral touch with "I want to know what love is", and Mick Jones's guitar never sounded better.

    Styx rocked the house

by Takinflight on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Opening with Kansas was a bit forgettable. It seemed they were more inclined to play against each other rather than with one another. A couple songs were unidentifiable, as were some rhythms. It felt more like a middle aged garage band than the Kansas I remember. Styx rocked the house, and made it a concert, but the sound in the theater leaves a lot to be desired if you're not front and center, and we weren't. There was a lot of reverb in the venue and the bass line overrode pretty much everything. Foreigner has the best set and started out good, but I think there were some technical problems and the sound mix went way off about the 3rd song and they never got it back. It made for a less than spectacular evening.

    Styx Kicks!!

by CrazyMominAnna on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

I have to say it is unfortunate that Kansas was the first act last night, the concert hall had not worked out the buggs on getting the singers sound up to the nose bleed seats, it came across fuzzy but not due to the singer, just the sound system. I had seen Styx 10 years ago at a county faire, and until last night did not realize what a great show they can give. The venue got the sound system straightend out and they brought down the house. Fabulous show. Foreigner was doing great until they annouced that everyone except the guitar player was new. I guess I really thought they would be the original members, like Aerosmith, There new stuff is good, but I was looking for nostalgia, the new lead singer seemed to sing just like the original but acted like Steve Tyler, right down to his clothes. Don't get me wrong I love Steve Tyler, just the original, not a knock off.

    Foreigner & Styx haven't lost a thing!!!

by Guitardad20 on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Was truly amazed that these guys have still got they vocals that they do in their 50's! The vocal performances by Styx & Foreigner was truly incredible. Both bands played every song pretty much like the studio version except where adding a solo. Very clean & tight performances. Well worth the price of the ticket!!

    Awesome

by Kym1969 on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

First I got there early and met up with a few from Foreigners website and we got pictures taken with two of the guys from Kansas. Then we went in for the show--all bands were great but I think Foreigner blew the other two away!! Then after the show we went back stage and got pictures with all the guys from Foreigner. I kept getting hugs from Mick

    Foreigner-Styx & Kansas

by MiddleOfTheOcean on 5/13/10Verizon Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Styx nailed the concert, they were awesome. What a surprise they did an oncore and the crowd loved it. Foreigner - again awesome, they played so long there was no need for an oncore. Kansas, looked like a garage band who had never toured, they really need to work on their stage presence. The music was good, vocals could use some practice, it was still good to hear them.
