About

The New York, West End and international sensation STOMP is back, and it’s better than ever!

Following sell-out previous seasons, STOMP heads to Australia with its unstoppable energy and ‘pure stage magic’.

Wordless, witty and fun, STOMP has become a global phenomenon over the last 25 years. Its universal languageof rhythm, theatre, comedy and dance has resonated with audiences throughout the world, setting feet stamping, fingers drumming and adrenalin rushing for over 15 million people in 55 countries across five continents.

Eight performers use non-traditional instruments - everything from supermarket trolleys to Zippo lighters, plastic bags to garbage can lids, and even the kitchen sink - to hammer out an explosively feel-good rhythm. Loved by audiences of all ages, this multi-award winning show is now in its 15th year in London’s West End, and its 24th year in New York. Come and see what all the noise is about!

  • Fantastic Show!

by SD on 11/22/24Palace Theatre Stamford - StamfordRating: 5 out of 5

I saw STOMP over 30 years ago and wanted to share the experience with my daughters and friends. Once again it did not disappoint. The precision and timing of everything they do is absolutely amazing. Creative, imaginative and well executed! We all loved every bit of it!

  • Disappointing and Boring

by Peggy on 11/22/24Palace Theatre Stamford - StamfordRating: 2 out of 5

Having enjoyed Stomp in the past, I was excited to bring my two preteen daughters. This time around, I enjoyed only about 20 minutes of the 1 hour and 50 minutes. Each scene used the same formula: someone moseys out on stage some everyday gadget that they are using as an instrument, attempting to ignite your curiosity. The rest of the cast eventually joins them and all eight just meander on stage playing their instrument, creating a song. That goes on for about two minutes longer than it should, and the next scene starts. Everything on repeat, just a different instrument.

  • Disappointing, not what I remembered

by Peggy on 11/22/24Palace Theatre Stamford - StamfordRating: 2 out of 5

I remember seeing stomp years ago and was excited to take my two daughters, 11 and 12. Of the one hour and 50 minutes, there was about 20 minutes that I found entertaining and held my interest. The rest of it was boring. The same old formula over and over, with different “instruments.” One person, Moses on stage, The other cast members stroll in to join that person. They all end up roaming around the stage and playing a song together. Each piece was about two minutes longer than it should’ve been. All three of us found it boring.

  • STOMP was AMAZING!

    by jd777 on 11/22/24Palace Theatre Stamford - StamfordRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely LOVED the show. The performers are SO talented. I was truly impressed. They sounded great, they interacted with the audience and they were spot on with all of their moves. I only wish I could have gone back in a few days or a week to bring a couple people with me to see it and I could see the performance again. I will try to see them in the next nearby show. I had always wanted to see the show but never made it to NY. It was different than what I had expected. I thought it would have been more “drumming” and didn’t imagine the performing that I saw. The performers are in amazing shape (what stamina) and I can’t imagine the hours of practice needed to pull off what they did. The timing and skill was so precise. The show was also very creative. STOMP is so worth seeing, even more than once. It’s for all ages. Children enjoyed it and it is not too loud for anyone worried about that. I am so glad I finally got to see it and I look forward to seeing it again. Well done performers in the Stamford show! We also happened to sit next to and talk to friends of one of the performers. We told them his dance skills did not go unnoticed. All of the performers were impressive, including the funny one. The stamina and skill of the guy “drumming” on everything from the stool was impressive, as well as everyone else around him (trying not to give away too much detail). The show was well put together. The stage setting looked great and was perfect for this show. Very creative. There was not a thing to complain about (except not enough performances in our area). I plan on catching the next performance nearby. WELL DONE EVERYONE involved with STOMP!

  • Phenomenal

I took my family to this show and from start to end this cast had everyone engaged and wanting more. Loved it from top to bottom

  • A Childish Reduction of what it Once Was

by Meglion on 11/22/24Palace Theatre Stamford - StamfordRating: 2 out of 5

I saw Stomp in the East Village, probably close to 30 years ago, and was mesmerized: the athleticism of the performers, their ability to create percussive rhythms with all kinds of objects blew my mind and left me energized and happy. This traveling version is obviously for children: the only thing missing is clown makeup. The once-athletic, exciting performers and performances were dumbed down to body-slapping and slapstick, and the audience was 75% kids and their families. If you know this ahead of time and are planning to take your kids for a night of entertainment (at $90 a ticket), enjoy yourself, but as an adult without kids it was a total disaster, and we left 2/3 of the way through. What a disappointment.

  • STOMP - timeless, a must see

by JP on 11/7/24Lynn Auditorium - LynnRating: 5 out of 5

STOMP is such a great show. It's great fun. They really bring it. They know how to captivate the audience in such a creative way. Be prepared to laugh and engage with this percussive group.

  • AMAZING

by JN on 11/7/24Lynn Auditorium - LynnRating: 5 out of 5

That was the most amazing performance I have ever seen two hours of nonstop action. The performers were amazing. They put their heart and soul into what they were doing. I would recommend this show and I would go see it again

  • Stomp in Lynn MA

by Ann on 11/7/24Lynn Auditorium - LynnRating: 5 out of 5

The show was totally fantastic. The seats in the venue are NOT. They’re not tiered well enough and no one can see over the heads of those in front of us. Very disappointing.

by jk on 5/15/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

Stomp was amazing and family friendly. The hours that the performers spent rehearsing this show much have been phenomenal. I loved the audience interaction as well.

  • Too loud for too long

by Foodie on 5/15/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 3 out of 5

This show is entertaining and because it had no words or intricate actions, it may be the only show that can be enjoyed in the terrible Johnny Mercer Theater where the sight lines and acoustics are worse than terrible. The show is visually appealing, high energy with some quieter much-needed breaks, and the cast is talented. That said, the show would be improved for me if two-three segments were edited out. It is just too loud for too long.

  • Percussion at it's best

by Shazam on 5/15/24Savannah Civic Center - Johnny Mercer Theatre - SavannahRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible choreography, very well synced comedy as well as music. Anyone who enjoys percussion instruments, great dancing, humor, and an overall love of the Arts should definitely say this young and old and everything in between. I highly recommend going to see this show

  • Pure fun!

  • Still amazing!

    by Megan G on 5/13/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The last time I saw Stomp was over 20 years ago and was worried it would be a rehash. I am so happy to say that it was good the first time and saw it and it was great again this time. The music was fresh and the ones that were similar to the pieces previously were still amazing. I also love the comedy running through that lends a "story"continuity and adds an extra level keeping you engaged. Highly recommend.

  • best date night

    by lisashton08 on 5/13/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This is something for any age to see! A must if you want to be fully entertained from your heart to mind. I have seen them several times and won't miss out on a chance too see them each time I can. The love for their art is at full height on every performance and you won't be let down. The variation of amazement is a wide scale of laughter to awe. They ask at all performances "no cameras". With this you don't want to view it thru a lens its a non- stop boost of performing and moving art!.

  • Incredible

by Rita on 5/12/24Tennessee Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The combination of percussion, dance, gymnastics, acting etc…. was the best that I have ever seen! The way they changed up the act and tools was amazing. They also incorporated the audience which was a plus!
