Great! Very entertaining. There was a good crowd and the announcer did a good job involving the audience.

  • Repeated Ideas!!

    by anand4678 on 10/14/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 2 out of 5

It was a okay show and repeating the same ideas throughout the show. It may be worth for one hour show but not for two hour long.

  • Fun, but I couldn't hear the explanations clearly

by davearonson on 7/10/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

This was the first time either my wife or I had gone to a rodeo -- yup, we're gol-dang city-slickers all right! It was rather fun to watch, and I kinda got into it, but I think it would have been more enjoyable had the explanations over the loudspeakers been not so echo-y. Not sure how they could do that in an indoor arena; maybe lots more loudspeakers, less loud each....

  • Tons of fun for the whole family

by RachieDallas on 5/20/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

My friends and I absolutely enjoyed this event! It was lots of fun to see all of the different events and the rodeo clowns were great at getting the crowd involved! They had Elvis impersonators and had fun contests for the crowd to get involved in. A great time for the price (I think they should charge more for the tickets in my opinion). I will be taking all of our friends and family there who come out to visit!

  • Fun Texas-style night out

by ChrissyNY on 5/17/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

We had a great time at the Stockyards rodeo. I haven't been to a rodeo in YEARS and a friend from London had never been to one ever before - so we thought this was a great idea to introduce some Texas culture. The Stockyards area is so cute and fun - shopping, restaurants, etc. Then the rodeo itself was very enjoyable - we got the VIP seats which are higher up but have a good view of the Coliseum. And there are two bathrooms up there and a bar - bonus! We plan to go again when more visitors come in town, and will definitely spend a few extra dollars to get the VIP seating. The rodeo was only an hour and 45 minutes, wish it had gone on longer with some more bull riding - but this is their every weekend rodeo so understandably may be a bit smaller than big ones. Still there were lots of cowboys and cowgirls and entertainment.

  • Box seats at the stock yards rodeo sucks

by Watchercrash on 5/6/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

Do not pay the extra for box seats! There was literally no room between the seats for leg room. The only way I could sit was because the people behind me left for that reason an I folded up the chairs in front of me. I will never go with that seating again. It was a wast of money.

  • The Stockyards Championship Rodeo was great!

by PeePaww on 4/1/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

Took the kids and grand kids and all three generations had a great time! This was not "our first rodeo", so we did have something to compare to, and this was a great show! PS - the parents that send their kids out there (to get run over be a "small harmless" 180# calf or sheep ... saw it happen twice now), to pull the ribbon off the tail to win the prize, must be crazy! The animals get scared of all those kids swarming after them and race right through the pack. The little girl that got hit this time was having trouble walking afterwards. Hope she wasn't hurt too badly.

Cute cowboys :) My 3yr old enjoyed the show. He was excited to see the horses and the bulls.

Our first rodeo. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking was close. We liked the bull riding best.

  • Sat Night TPD

    by olddog46 on 1/1/13Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

Bulling riding was great, but the Announcer kept getting the riders mixed up & giving the bull score for the rider & rider's score for the bull.

Event was great, purchased VIP seating, but the view was not that great, won't purchase these seats again

  • TPD

    by olddog46 on 12/30/12Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

Got tickets late for Fri. Seat's were in Box 21. There were so far from the chute's that you could not see what was going on & the screen was angled where we could hardly see it. The seats were the highest cost for reg. fan's. Next year will not take box seat's pasted box 9.

Too much fluff, not enough rodeo. Singing, kids events, too much time to get the bulls ready Couldn't understand the announcer, he spoke too fast.

  • DJ

It's been a while since I went to the last rodeo and truly I did not expect to listen to Eminem, Queen, AC/DC and 70's Disco Music, I've got nothing against this music, I actually like it it's just that if I wanted to listen this kind of music I would go to different kind of place, what ever happened to the Orange Blossom special, Cotton Eyed Joe and others? other than that everything was as expected, highly recommended.

  • Bullriding

    by snyderlpn519 on 8/19/12Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 3 out of 5

I love the show the stockyards puts on. The only thing I get disappointed about is there isn't enough bullriding. They line all the shutes up in the first session and get you get to watch about 5. The second session is about 5 more. It takes a lot of time just waiting for the bullrider to get settled on the bull. A BAR Rodeo Productions does the best job if you are ever in Ohio go see them.

I love downtown Ft. Worth! The rodeo was very entertaining.

  • Fun...then to Billy Bob's Next Door

by DaleJuniorFan on 4/7/12Cowtown Coliseum Ft. Worth Stockyards rodeo. - Ft. WorthRating: 4 out of 5

Rodeo was fun. Up close and personal. Cheap entertainment (2 1/4 hours long)...Beer was $4.50, then over just in time to walk next door to Billy Bob's for the 10:30 PM concert...and your rodeo ticket stub gets you in the door FREE! Billy Bob's layout allows you to hear the music ANYWHERE in the venue. Go early, and plenty of great eateries in the Stockyards, especially Risckey's BBQ. Pay parking was $5 for the night. On street is 2 hr max for free. I'll probably go at least 2x a month year round.

  • Great time!

    by JCo2 on 9/14/11Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5

This event is great to take people to when they're visiting. It's not too country so they won't feel out of place. It's different and just right for tourists like my family from CT!

  • It was amazing

by ASalama on 7/11/11Cowtown Coliseum - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5

It is my first time to attend such an event, I liked it too much and my family also liked it, it has a variety of shows and competitions.
