What a wonderful evening! It was so nice to spend an evening out with my husband in a stunning theatre listening to Steven Curtis Chapman with his amazing voice and songs that speak to your heart and soul. I have to thank the Uptown Theatre staff for their warm welcome and hosting a memorable evening for us. A special thank you to Ron who went above and beyond to make my evening one I will always remember. My hope is that there will be many more Christian Band concerts and to invite my friends and family. In these times of uncertainty, listening to inspirational music gives us hope to hang on to.

What an unforgettable concert! Powerful, touching but also very humerous at times. All I expected and more!

This show was amazing! Just Steven Curtis Chapman on stage with his guitars. He told us stories and sang songs. I absolutely loved it!

  • Steven upclose and personal..

    by NurseAngel72 on 4/23/11Uptown Theatre Napa - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

This was an incredible show! The venue was perfect for an upclose and personal experience. Not a bad seat in the house. Steven is such a talented musician, with a voice that he commands and controls perfectly. Not a sour note in site. He plays guitar like it's an extension of himself. The "bass drum" via miked floor board was a great addition adding just the right amount of beat for an "acoustic" experience. The heart he has for God was shining bright and his honesty about his struggles was in perfect balance. You leave this show feeling like you have made a new friend, a friend you want to keep. Praise God for that voice, that talent, and that heart that he has been blessed with.

What a talented artist and guitarist. I liked him sharing his life and family. I do think that that it would be better if he didn't draw his sharing out so long. Loved his faith and trust in the Lord Jesus. "He gives and takes away!"

What a blessing. Enjoying the gift that God has given this man. The sharing of the testimony of his life and God's faithfulness through it. Praising the Lord together. Wonderful from start to finish.

It was a great show and a wonderful throwback to the good old days when SCC toured regularly. Overall a thoroughly inspiring and entertaining night with the Chapmans.

  • Chapman Family Very Moving

by QuilterNancy on 10/27/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I am sooo! very glad I went. The show was very moving and I was touched. Will Franklin's drummer performance was spectacular!!! Mary Beth was so very loving. I see many families who are broken and hurt, it was inspiring to see a family pull together through faith. I continue to pray for the entire family.

  • Steven Curtis Chapman was incredible!

by Corbitt on 10/25/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I wasn't sure what to expect because I had never been to one of Steven Curtis Chapman's concerts before. I wondered how many songs I would recognize, and I was pleased when he played a majority of songs that I knew from my younger days. Chapman is an energetic, sincere artist who has an amazing voice. He truly cares about his family, and he loves what he does. I was excited to hear the talent that his two sons displayed. I felt for his wife when she came out to talk about the struggles that they have faced in the death of their five-year-old daughter two years ago. They are real people trying to make a difference in this world. I appreciated their honesty. I hadn't planned on spending any money that night but walked away with a cd. I couldn't help it after Chapman sang some of his latest songs, and I realized how much of his depth and emotion applies to me and my feelings. I am so glad I went and will be eagerly awaiting his return.

  • powerful concert!

Everything was awesome except the sound level was too high. It muddled the sound up, which made the words hard to catch at times. A bit chilly at the start. Helpful staff. Start time was too late for those of us on Eastern time 9pm

  • Steven Curtis Chapman is an amazing man of God

great show and his wife talked and we laughed a lot

  • by Spirtual on 10/24/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 3 out of 5

He is a great singer and his sons did a fantastic job. His wife was a bit too long and not very funny. Also I appreciate his want to push his Cause but that also felt too pushed and took up too much time. I also wish he would have sang some of his older praise songs that are more familiar. The concert did not feel very worshipful. Dont take me wrong im a big Steven fan but I was disappointed that night.

  • Steven Curtis Chapmand and family was amazing

by Mslisaindiana on 10/24/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed this concert. Best concert I have ever been too. It lasted 3 1/2 hours. Truly inspirational.

  • Chapmans Amazing!

    by Orion70 on 10/24/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

As usual, Steven Curtis Chapman delivered a memorable performance. This evening was much more than a concert though, it was an experience. The Chapman's allowed each and every member of the audience the opportunity to get to connect with them on an even deeper spiritual level than ever before. This evening was about music, life, and faith. Steven Curtis and his family will continue to impact lives as they tour and continue their special ministry created from the ashes of their Maria Sue. Don't miss this special event when it comes to a city near you. On a side note, the Chapman boys' band Caleb was a perfect opener.

  • The Chapmans are truly inspirational

by Anonymous on 10/24/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

"A Night with the Chapmans" was a wonderful concert and experience. I love their down-to-earth attitude and how you felt like you were getting to know their family and how they weren't trying to be somebody else. And as always, Steven Curtis Chapman's music is awesome! They really are an inspiration and encouragement to anyone who is going through or who has gone through hard times in life. Don't miss it! :)

  • What a night!

    by modan70 on 10/24/10Star Plaza Theatre - MerrillvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The Chapmans were honest and yet very positive about their journey the past two years. Their resilience and faith shined. This was well worth the money (3 hours of packed entertainment).

  • Third Day... Amazing as always!

by KariBelle on 10/15/10DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Steven Curtis Chapman and his son's band Caleb showed a rockin side of contemporary Christian music...a wonderful experience Third Day rocked it like they always do... moving people to praise God with their music and getting people to feel the music deep in their souls. Got to preview some of the new cd Move live and got to hear some great oldies like Thief ... a little bit of old school, a little bit of new school... and a whole lotta Third Day rockin it out! See Third Day every chance I can! If you've never seen them, they bring Christian music into the real world, praising God and being true to Southern Rock!
