  • Steven Curtis Chapman was Amazing!

by TonyKoren on 11/5/11California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San BernardinoRating: 5 out of 5

From the concert's opening, we could tell this would be something memorable. Unlike other artists, who separate their featured guests from the "headline" performance, Chapman chose to keep the crew together--and the result was amazing! Andrew Peterson, Josh Wilson and Steven Curtis Chapman played together, serving as backup for each other's songs. Absolutely beautiful. The music was fresh, yet possessed a depth that drew from new and old hits. It was accompanied by stories that brought us closer to the artists and their songs. It was like Chapman had brought us into his living room for a musical heart-to-heart with him and a few of his friends. Can't wait till the next concert with Chapman!

I have seen Steven Curtis Chapman many times over the past 15+ years. Every time he never fails to deliver not only an AWESOME performance from a concert viewpoint, but an amazing night of love, closeness and above all the sense that God is in the house. His passion and heart for adoption puts a special touch to the evening and adds a depth of personal connection in light of his family's recent heartache.

As always, SCC was honest, real, and always encouraging through his stories and music. Josh Wilson and Andrew Peterson were great as well.

What a blessing it was to hear the stories behind the songs and enjoy a blessed night with 3 incredible artists: Steven Curtis Chapman, Andrew Peterson, and Josh Wilson! Am so very glad we took this chance to spend time in the Lord with other believers in the house of the Lord!

All I can say is WOW. The spiritual love of GOD is so reflected in his music and stories. Don't miss the chance of seeing him if he comes to your vicinity. I traveled 100 miles for this concert and I would do it again. Thanks Steven for a great experience. GOD Bless :)

  • Humble extraordinary Steven

    by Jryder522 on 10/16/11Valparaiso Nazarene Church - ValparaisoRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I've seen. Love the stories behind all the songs. Andrew and Josh complement Steven very well. Get your video camera ready for Josh when he plays amazing grace. It is one of the most impressive guitar performances I've seen. All these guys do all of this not for their own fame or fortune but because they stand in awe of God. Thanks guys for a n encouraging and uplifting night. Loved your humor as well.

This concert was definitely one to celebrate and remember. Steven, Josh, and Andrew put on a fantastic show and praise to the Lord. I was really excited to hear their stories behind their music. The venue was fantastic and I just want to say thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it happen.

  • Chapman, et al, Deliver Again

by livinit on 6/29/11DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome night worshiping under the stars with four great bands! My second time to see Steven Curtis Chapman at DTE -- once again he was great! Missed the keyboard guy though this time. The sons, Caleb and Will, were great and very entertaining. Loved Will's performance on that drum he sat on and played with his hands. Francesca was very refreshing and gave a great performance. I'd go see her again definitely. Jars of Clay were off the chart! First time ever to see them and I was blown away. I would definitely recommend seeing any one of these bands and hope they all return to DTE soon.

The Steven Curtis Chapman concert was awesome. He sang all of my favorite songs. The night was perfect, weather wise, which is highly unusual for Michigan.

  • waste of money for Steven

by Anonymous on 6/28/11DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 1 out of 5

Thought I was going to see Steven Curtis Chapman perform, not all these other start up bands. Waste of money!!!!! I'll never go again.

  • by Anonymous on 6/28/11DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

Shows were wonderful! There was too much down time between bands. Chapman didn't start until 9:45! Had to leave early due to lateness of the show, drive home (work next day), missed all of his performance. Too late!

  • Laughter & Tears with Steven Curtis Chapman

by H2Orb on 5/6/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

SCC is one of my favorite Contemporary Christian musicians so I was excited to see him at the Grove. It was a great, almost intimate venue and being close enough to see his expressions as he sang and talked was an unexpected pleasure. Seeing his sons on tour with him and the pride and pleasure he radiated in them was touching. He performed great "oldies" like For The Sake of The Call and The Great Adventure. Before he played Cinderella, he spent time sharing about the songwriting process of the song and the memories it did and does bring back (there were tears in my eyes!). Hearing the personal aspect of the song helped me appreciate it even more than before. The laughter came when he did his rap number : ) and when he made jokes - like diaper changing the band!

  • Steven Curtis Chapman walks the walk!

by TeresaLoveGipe on 5/4/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

SCC doesn't just talk the talk, he definitely walks the walk! My wish is that everyone would have the opportunity to be in this godly man's presence at least once in their lifetime! I've had the opportunity many times, and no matter how old I get, whenever SCC comes to town, I'll be there!

  • Chapman played oldies with a Flair

by MWSfollower on 5/4/11City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 4 out of 5

Chapman pretty much played his former music and some I never heard when he first started. It's good to see his son's performing w/ him eventhough they have their own band (Caleb). He let them play one of their songs & they were great too. The music gift has really passed from father to sons

  • Amazing as always
