A wonderful way to start the Christmas week! Great performances by Steven Curtis Chapman, Brandon Heath and Third Day! The size of the venue allows for great seats and viewing angles. There was plenty of Traditional Christmas music and new music as well. The best part was singing Away in a Manger acappella with SCC. The house lights were down and cell phone flashlights glowing like stars all over the arena! A great night of Joy and Worship.
I had such an amazing time of worship and fun with my daughter!
It was a beautiful show. I especially like Third Day.
The show was uplifting. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who enjoys culturally relevant Christian worship music.
The Steven Curtis Chapman-Third Day Christian concert was outstanding. The time flew by as the artists mixed Christmas songs with some of their well known pieces. We even heard Third Day sing a yet to be released song in their upcoming album scheduled for March 2015. One I certainly will purchase. I highly recommend attending a concert featuring these artists-I know we will again.
The location of seats did not have good sound. The bass was too loud. It drowned out everything else. We were unable to hear a lot of what was being said. There were 4 of us. We all agree. One went to get some drinks and said the sound was a lot better near the center. So.... not the greatest experience. Won't go again if those are the only seats left. (Section 201L.
Great Show, really got everyone in the mood for Christmas.
My daughter and I enjoyed this concert so much. From start to finish it Blessed us.
A great way to start the holiday season! Steven is a super entertainer and Christian example.
My husband and I, with an invited guest from Idaho, attended the concert. At the beginning the band was loud and I was worried it would be that way all through the concert, but it ended up where there was a good variety of music, both from SCC and the two artists he brought with him. There was a good mixture of new Christmas music and traditional Christmas songs. The words spoken from the artists themselves was very personal and very inspirational. Since it was a Christian concert, I was glad to see Jesus Christ elevated to His appropriate position as the focus for the night. There were some lighter musical numbers (I.e., less religious), which were done in good taste. The concert lasted well over 2 hours, so you felt like you got your money's worth. The cause -- Baptist Hospice -- was well represented.
It was the first concert on this tour and they just didn't seem to be totally prepared.
While I absolutely LOVE Steven Curtis Chapman I was disappointed with so much talking throughout the concert on Nov 29 at 2pm. We paid $311 for 4 tickets and would have liked to hear more music and less talking (there was quite a long verbal moment when Steven sat down at the paino before he broke into song). Also, individuals have charities that they prefer and support and too much time was given to the charity Steven is supporting during the concert...just a quick few minutes and the mention of information outside by the door would have been enough. We love you Steven just keep in mind people are coming to your concert to hear your beautiful voice and wonderful God based music. I would recommend the concert to a friend but would prepare them for long periods of 'no concert time'.
I was expecting my music and less talking from the artists. We left before the end of the show, it was frustrating.
I have seen scc three times in concert. Have all 18 of his albums. He is an amazing artist. The concert was awesome and perfect for this season of his life. And mine!!!
I got these tickets for my birthday. I saw Steven Curtis Chapman at a youth concert once, briefly, but this was awesome. I love to hear his testimonies. He is an amazing man of God, an encouragement, and an amazing artist. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that Josh Wilson and The Afters were part of the show! Loved it.
We had the best time. It was very uplifting and inspiring. We can't wait to go to another one.
I am a fan of Steven Curtis Chapman, and this was my first time seeing him in concert. I was very disappointed. I knew that there would be two other artists performing so I was prepared for that. However, I was not prepared for a third special guest and being a part of a pitch for adoption which probably took up 45 minutes out of the concert. The audience was also asked to donate $35 toward an organization that assists adoptive parents. I understand that adoption is a major part of the Chapman's life. I even have two nieces that happen to be adopted, but I came to hear a concert and only a concert. It is highly unlikely that I will ever attend another Steven Curtis Chapman concert.
The reason for SCCs longevity in Christian music is readily apparent at his concert- he is a masterful storyteller & musician. I loved the concert, including Josh & The Afters. The only quibble I had w/ it was it could've started earlier (I had a 45 min ride home & had to be up next AM @ 4:30)
Chapman was very personable as a performer and shared his passion for what he does as a singer/writer and for what he believes in.
