About

Comedian Steve Treviño is "America's Favorite Husband." He can "speak wife fluently," he never calls "the guys" for help on a home project, and he knows better than to "make his own decisions," since decision-making is a privilege reserved solely for his wife, Renae.

His relatable approach affirms his status as one of the country's premiere stand-up comedians, viewed over 300 million times, selling-out shows across the nation, and amassing over 3.5 million total social media followers.

Today, the comedian has had stand-up specials with Amazon, NETFLIX, Showtime to name few. In March 2024, Steve released his first Netflix Original special, Steve Treviño: Simple Man. Steve lives his life and reports it to you. He tells us what it's like living with a Type-A Virgo wife, squabbling over containers and pizza parties. Steve shares nostalgic tales of his dad's broken-down truck, an unlikely love story and how to face the challenges of raising spoiled kids today. As a husband, father and son, Steve is just doing the best he can as a Simple Man. The special was filmed at the Tobin Center in San Antonio and directed by his wife Renae Treviño. Simple Man hit The Top Ten TV Shows streaming on Netflix the first week it premiered, and has since garnered over 100 million minutes watched.

In 2012, Steve's first Showtime special, Grandpa Joe's Son, staked out a spot in the Nielsen Top 20 when it first premiered. From the success of that special, he funded, produced, and shot his 2014 hit special, Relatable, which landed on Netflix. To promote the special, he uploaded the clip, "When Your Wife Comes Home From Shopping." It exploded, generating over 56 million views on Facebook alone and paving the way for his other viral clips like "When You Ask Your Wife If She Wants McDonald's" (21 million views). In 2018, Trevino released the follow-up special, Steve Trevino 'Til Death on Amazon Prime. In 2022, he once again self-produced his fifth special, I Speak Wife that released on YouTube garnering over 6 million views.

In honor of Treviño's achievements in entertainment and comedy, the city of San Antonio presented the comedian with their prestige Emissary of the Muses certificate on November 24th, 2023.

In 2020, he and his wife, Renae, unveiled a joint weekly podcast entitled "Steve Treviño and Captain Evil." On the podcast, the couple navigate the treacherous topics of relationships, family and stand-up comedy. All while trying to stay married. Since launching, the podcast has generated over 1.5 million views/streams.

He regularly raises money for Helicopters for Heroes, an organization benefiting veterans, for whom he helped raise over $1.5 million in the past two years.

Steve lives in New Braunfels, TX with Captain Evil and their son and daughter. He will be kicking off his new tour, The Good Life in 2024. For more dates and info go-to: www.stevetrevino.com.

  • Awesome night out. Laughed so much

by Chris B on 12/4/22The Mirage Theatre - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

A friend recommended seeing Steve Trevino and so we booked a trip to Vegas to see him. One of the best and definitely the funniest night in a long long time. Laughed so hard the whole show.

  • Delightful

Steve is hilarious because what he talks about is so relatable to our everyday life! A must see show! Your cheeks will be hurting from laughing so much!

  • Terrible opener Steve was Hysterical

by Becky on 12/4/22The Mirage Theatre - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I want to start off by saying, Steve was hysterical. I am so glad that I went. The entire night I was crying. I was laughing so hard when he was on stage. I also want to say that I hated the opener. Some of his jokes are so off-color that it was hard to sit through and really uncomfortable. He made jokes about 9/11. All of his jokes had some sort of race insinuation. I think because he is Middle Eastern descent he thinks he can joke about it. But it was all extremely uncomfortable. If he were a main act, we would’ve gotten up after less than five minutes and left. Steve should replace him. Other than that Steve was great. You’re super funny and I will see him again. However, I would probably get there late so that I didn’t have to sit through the opener.

  • Best Comedy Show Ever

by Cisco & Corrina Martinez on 11/14/22Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

When I say Steve did not disappoint, I mean it. My cheeks were hurting from laughing the whole time. He is a very humble guy with a talent to make you laugh. You can relate to everything he says. The whole venue was nice, very reasonable price. It was a little crowded but well worth it.

  • Always a great time!

This was my second time seeing Steve in person. His stories about him and his wife are always funny and it’s always a great laugh. I would go see him again and again

  • Best date night ever!!!

by Lorna on 11/13/22Punch Line Comedy Club - Sacramento - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Steve Trevino gives the funniest and most relatable show to a wide audience! All ages and all relationships experienced so many of his stories. His impersonations of his wife are the most hysterical ever! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and really appreciated the affordable price for tickets. We can’t wait to see him again in Sacramemto!

  • Late

by Kirby on 11/7/22Memorial Auditorium - Wichita FallsRating: 3 out of 5

The show, once it actually started was great. He was very funny. Would go see again! The unfortunate thing was the show started an hour late. Put me in a bad mood. What was even worse, they said we were early but that was a lie. They should have told us he was stuck in traffic/bad weather (that’s why he was late). Hate when people waste my time, very disappointed with how it was handled!!

  • He was funny but the bad language could have been kept out.

by Littlebit on 11/7/22Memorial Auditorium - Wichita FallsRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed his topics but the bad language was unnecessary. The guy before him was awful.

  • Great Show

  • Meh

by Blah blah blah on 11/7/22Memorial Auditorium - Wichita FallsRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was beautiful and welcoming. We drove in from Fort Worth because we were busy when he was in Dallas. He is my man’s favorite comic. That said… Show was scheduled for 7 PM. There was a full 1:15 slideshow. Since it didn’t even start until 715 we got to sit an hour and a half waiting on him. His opening act was really good. I was impressed the crowd was still receptive after we had sat there for so long. First 10 minutes of Steve’s act was essentially marketing for things he sells or is involved in, as is the last 10 minutes or so. At no point did he apologize to the crowd for being so late. I am a huge fan of using popularity to create awareness. I am also from a family of veterans and we are all in a blue-collar industry. We live his skits. Love. His message speaks to us, yet I definitely felt as though he took advantage of a situation. Small town hard-working people who paid plenty to see him only to be disrespected by an extraordinarily late start, a lackluster performance and significant self importance. We saw a Ron White last week and he had way more respect for his audience. (If you know anything about Ron White you know that I’m saying something.) I hate to leave this review but so many people spent hard earned money.

  • His show was hilarious! My abs were sore the next day!!

by Paciam on 10/4/22Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Steve's show was great! He hit home on everything he joked about regarding married couples and Latinos. He even shared some personal info about his family which really touched me. It brought backed memories of my late parents and made me teary eyed. I can't wait to see him again.

Loved Steve, first time seeing his stand up. Went right home and downloaded the podcast and have been working my way through all three seasons. He is so funny and absolutely relatable. He MAY have caused me to rethink some things and be nicer to my husband lol.
