Steve Morse Band - Don't Miss It!

by Bonnieb on 10/22/09Berklee Performance Center - Boston

These guys are clearly holding the secret to the fountain of youth, both in appearance and performance. Their show was simply amazing, especially with the special treat of having Rod join in at the end. They played a terrific mix of their old material plus some from their soon-to-be released CD. As a long-time fan of this incredibly talented group, it was nothing short of a thrill to see this band back out on the road again. For those who stuck around after the show, the reward paid off in being able to hang out with the band for autographs, pictures, and such.

    Steve Morse Band Show Buffalo!

    by TKG52 on 10/21/09Tralf - Buffalo

Absolutely amazing show, as usual Steve displayed his incredible technical skills and musical abilities. Dave LaRue and Steve Morse are a perfect match, two very gifted musicians along with Van Romaine keeping the beat.... it was a brilliant performance indeed! Thanks guys hope to see you perform again soon!

    Great performance

by chumphre on 10/19/09Diesel Club Lounge - Pittsburgh

Morse, Larue and Romaine did a great job with their old standards and with material from their new album. Definitely worth the money.

    Steve, Dave & Van ROCK!

by Zigtronics on 10/19/09Diesel Club Lounge - Pittsburgh

Steve Morse Band at the Diesel Club Saturday night took it to the house! 90 minutes of blistering fret work, bass playing and skin pounding. Too bad if you wern't one of about 75 or so people that saw the show you missed it. Only a dozen or so more shows to go.

    Steve Morse Band

by DiverseMusicMan on 10/18/09Diesel Club Lounge - Pittsburgh

Steve Morse Band at Club Diesel in Pittsburgh was an above average show. Positives of this show were 1) The band played song after song, and only talked while Steve Morse, or bassist Dave LaRue were tuning, or changing their respective instuments. 2) The sound was great, especially for a small venue. 3) Most importantly, Steve Morse band played the songs very well. In some cases, such as Highland Wedding, the live versions sounded better than the studio versions of the songs. This is knitpicking, but the negative of the show is the setlist. The setlist was good, but it could have been better, if Steve Morse band would have left out one of the new songs, and played one song from the Coast To Coast or Structural Damage releases.

Wow, real small space in Pittsburgh... 100 fans, way too loud but just a great show. Dave LaRue was amazing - he kept up with Steve onmany licks.

    Steve Morse...Mastery of Guitar

by Shmirtan on 10/18/09Diesel Club Lounge - Pittsburgh

Mind blowing display of a man with complete mastery of an instrument. The threesome of Steve , Dave LaRue, and Van Romaine is something not to be missed for lovers of eclectic rock/jazz/country "Morsesism". WOW!
